                                        Ska Marine is founded and headed by Cdr S. Subramanian a
                         Naval Architect by profession with a the Master’s degree in naval
                         architecture from University college London. He brings with him 30yrs of
                         experience in ship design building and shipyard infrastructure
                         development , including human resource development. Prior to Ska
                         Marine he served as director technical, of Tebma shipyards playing a
                         major role in design and construction of Tugs, dredgers, Platform supply
                         vessels and other work boats.



            The design team at Ska Marine is constituted by
experienced and talented        engineers guided and trained by
experienced panel of consultants consisting of marine engineers,
electrical engineers and naval architects. The design engineers go
through a continuous program of training to update their skills in ship
design and use of various ship design software.




                          Ska Marine is equipped with latest software for the basic and detailed
                          design of ships. The office is fully networked with excellent computer
                          hardware and latest plotters.




We have also an experienced team of marine / mechanical / electrical
engineers and project planners for managing new building as well as
conversion projects at site.




                               We have tied up with best sub-contracting companies in the ship
                               building industry in India to undertake ship building sub-contracts
                               in India and abroad.

  1. Basic design of ships:

            We use auto ship program for basic design of hull forms, hydrostatics and
  stability estimates. Basic designs can be developed to suit customer specifications. In
  addition , a number of proven designs are available off the shelf.

           These include tractor and stern thrusters, tugs with Bollard pull ranging from 10
  ton to 55 tonnes, multipurpose launches varying in size from 18 meters to 25 meters .

 2.Pre bid Design, Build specifications , contract for new building Projects:

              We undertake turn key projects for ship building starting from preparation of
 Build specification to suit customer requirements, preparation of pre bid         designs,
 preparation and scrutiny of ship building contracts and activate participation throughout
 biding and negotiation process till the time of award of contract.




  3.Preparation and Approval of class drawing and statutory drawings:

                 We undertake complete structural design of ships, design of various fluid
  system schematics, Electrical power generation, distribution and control and monitoring
  circuits, ventilation arrangements etc, based on class rules as well as engineering
  fundamentals. We prepare all drawings required for class approval and for statutory
  approvals by Flag State Administrations.




  4.Equipment order specification and sourcing:

                We offer to prepare ordering specification for ships equipment and fittings as
  per owner requirements, functional requirements of build specifications, class rules, and
  statutory regulations. We can also recommend appropriate sources for equipment.

 5.Turn key solutions of conversion and modernization:

               We provide a range of services for conversion /modernization projects. This
 includes feasibility study, preliminary and final designs , sourcing of equipment, and onsite
 supervision at the shipyards




  6.Shipyard infrastructure and consultancy services:

                 We offer consultancy services for shipyard layout, shipyard equipment and
  infrastructure and shipyard manning plans for new shipyards as well as for expansion and
  modernization.
