This is Beth Cochran, principal of Enloe High School with an announcement to our faculty and students regarding an incident that happened this morning off campus but during the time our students were arriving to school. It appears that early this morning shots were fired into a vacant car parked on a neighborhood street. Immediately law enforcement were notified and our primary concern was for the safe entry of our students to the campus. I am very pleased to inform you that everyone did a wonderful job and classes started without further incident. The Raleigh Police Department is investigating this incident and at this time, there doesn’t appear to be a connection to school community. I will keep you posted with any pertinent information become available. I want to thank the entire Enloe staff and student body for their quick, yet appropriate response this morning. Beth
