Head of Policy, Research and External Relations, Project Manager, Senior Policy Analyst, Public Affairs Manager To research, develop and maintain relevant aspects of policy within the field of healthcare professional regulation.
Main purpose of the job

The appointment is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Due to the nature of the work occasional attendance beyond the Council’s core working hours will be required.

Key tasks and responsibilities
•
To conduct regular horizon-scanning of policy and regulatory developments in all relevant fields Develop a continuous working knowledge of CHRE legislation and the legislation of the regulatory bodies, both primary and secondary and any relevant UK and EU legislation. To contribute to policy-led projects to identify and promote good practice and good practice principles Develop, monitor and review CHRE policy positions as required and provide detailed policy briefings. Undertake research into regulatory developments across all relevant sectors and ensure CHRE are appropriately advised. Prepare responses to requests for Ministerial advice taking proper account of the needs of the country from which the request is received. Respond to consultations as appropriate and undertake consultations in relation to policy developments, as required. Work closely with all members of the policy, research and external relations team to ensure seamless, accurate and timely achievement of the team’s work. Together with others in the team work with relevant external stakeholders in the development of CHRE policy work.

Experience of working in health policy and/or policy research
