									                     Development Control Planner

Salary from £26,784 to £29,714 for experienced qualified planner, and
£16,663 to £26,784 for career grade planner dependent on qualifications and
experience (all subject to annual pay increase).

One of our key DC planners has moved to a more senior role and we need a
replacement of equal calibre who can deal with a significant caseload of pre-
application advice, planning and listed building applications and appeals.
Ideally you will have two years DC experience and be eligible for MRTPI –
and you will need to this to qualify for the higher salary. Experience of rural
planning issues would be advantageous. However we will consider
candidates with less or even no experience provided you are educated to
degree level in a related discipline such as Geography or Environmental
Science. You will need to be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and be IT literate
– we continue to experience a heavy and demanding workload. Our career
