Pensions Retirees of the Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation Pension Plan for Salaried Employees or the Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation Pension Plan for Hourly Employees will continue to receive their monthly pension checks as usual. If your pension benefit is from a defined benefit pension plan and the pension plan terminates, your benefits are guaranteed by the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, subject to applicable limitations imposed by federal law. The Debtor has not indicated any intention to terminate either of the pension plans at this time.
