How to claim
Direct billing If you need hospital treatment, claims can always be settled directly between Nordic Health Care and the hospital. Nordic Health Care has agreements with more than 50,000 hospitals and clinics worldwide in cooperation with our service offices known as Euro-Centers. Claims for complex diagnostic tests and outpatient operations, which are performed by a private specialist or clinic, can also be settled directly between Nordic Health Care and the medical provider. If you need a guarantee of payment or referral to our preferred medical provider in your area, please contact your local service office or our head office in Copenhagen. Reimbursement If a claim has been paid by you it should be sent to us for reimbursement together with a claim form. Claims can be sent by fax or E-mail to speed up the process. If the claim exceeds the amount of USD 1,000 we may ask you to forward the original bill. Claims can either be sent to our head office in Copenhagen or to your local Euro-Center. Small claims for outpatient medical treatment, medicine and physiotherapy should always be paid by you before they are sent in for reimbursement. Reimbursements can be effected in any convertible currency of your choice. Claim online Claims can also be submitted via our website www.nhcglobal.com. If you prefer to claim online, please follow the instructions on our website. Deductibles If you have a deductible on your policy, reimbursement of claims will take place when the deductible has been met. In case a claim should be settled directly between our company and the medical provider you will be asked to settle the deductible with the medical provider unless otherwise has been agreed upon with Nordic Health Care. 24-hour emergency service Nordic Health Care has an inhouse 24-hour Emergency Centre you can contact day or night. Our multilingual staff is highly qualified to assist you – no matter if you need admission to a hospital, medical evacuation or just a medical advice. In cooperation with our medical consultants they will make sure that you receive the right medical treatment. In case you need assistance from our Emergency Center please call +45 70109030.
