Atlanta Claims—Stairway to Success
The Atlanta Claims Convention will be held at the Gwinnett Center on April 19-21, 2006 with the theme being Atlanta Claims—Stairway to Success. The committee is hard at work to ensure a successful and exciting convention for all attendees. The Education Committee too are working to have another exciting seminar for all attendees. Joan White is in charge of the exhibitors and already has had several make reservations for an exhibit booth. Please make sure you contact her if you have not received information regarding the convention and reserving a booth. Several hospitality suites have already been booked by the Gwinnett Center and if you have not reserved a booth please contact Candice Kirkpatrick or her assistant. Candice is now out on maternity leave but has left everything in good hands with her assistant. She will also be in contact with her assistant from time to time to make certain everything is going satisfactorily. Please order banquet tickets early and remember our banquet will be filmed this year. This is something we are doing on a trial basis this year to promote upcoming banquets. Be prepared to be filmed. Banquet tickets are on sale and prices remain the same as in the past. The Holiday Inn at Gwinnett Center will be our convention hotel and the rate for 2006 is $89 per night. Their telephone number is 770-476-2022. The Hampton Inn will be the backup hotel and their rates are $95 per night. Their telephone number is 678-407-0018. Please make your room reservations early as their are deadlines for the convention rate. Entertainment at the banquet will be The Harringtons. The Harringtons are compared to the famous Forester Sisters and Andrew Sisters. Their powerful live performances and strong-harmony arrangements and extra ordinary songwriting are showcased regularly at venues throughout the Southeast. They are known for versatility from country-rock to pop, blues, swing and gospel. We know everyone will enjoy this group. We look forward to an exciting and great convention. If you have any questions please contact anyone on the committee.
