        2010-2011 Finance and Fundraising Committee Application
  Please understand that all applicants will be reviewed over thoroughly and professionally. The
decisions made will be based on who is believed to be the most qualified and meets the needs and
                          goals of this year’s District Board. Good luck!

Application Process
   1.   Application process: April 19, 2010 to April 30, 2010
   2.   Applications must be received by April 30, 2010 by 10:00 PM
   3.   Applicants invited to an interview will be notified by May 1, 2010
   4.   Interviews will take place May 1, 2010 to May 2, 2010
   5.   Appointments will be made by May 2, 2010. All applicants will be notified of the final

The members of the Finance and Fundraising Committee are responsible for efficiently executing
each of the major district fundraisers, as well as assisting clubs with their own fundraisers. If
selected, the committee member must be a member in good standing and be enrolled at least half
time during the 2010-2011 term. The following is a list of minimum responsibilities expected of
each standing committee chair. Please check the box next to each responsibility (double
click on the box to check it). In doing so, you signify an understanding of the responsibility.

               Attend all online committee meetings, set by committee chair. Also be able to
               attend any in-person meetings as set by the Finance and Fundraising chair.

               Remain in constant communication with Finance and Fundraising chair by reporting
               activities and progress.

               Complete all assigned projects ON TIME. If this is not possible, it is understood
               that the Finance and Fundraising chair will be notified in a timely manner.

               Participate actively in committee by brainstorming fundraising ideas and other
               needed ideas for on-site fundraisers at district events.

               Act as a representative for your home club and for the District as a whole.

               Be able to help staff Supply Sales throughout the year at Kiwanis DCON, Midyear
               South, Midyear North, Circle K DCON, & Key Club DCON and help with on-site
               fundraisers at Fall Training Conference (FTC) and District Convention (DCON).

               Be willing to complete any additional work delegated to them. (i.e. Manuals)

The District Finance and Fundraising Committee is comprised of CKI members who are the behind-
the-scenes team for all financial and fundraising matters of the District. Headed by the District
Treasurer, the committee will strive for results and positive change through fundraising and
promotional efforts this year. The following is a list of minimum duties for each of the positions.

Crazy Kompetition for Infants North Chair (1) – Help secure a location for the event,
put together the practice manual, and run logistics on-site for one of the district’s largest
fundraisers. *Required to be a member of a northern Circle K club.

Crazy Kompetition for Infants South Chair (1) – Description is the same as North.
*Required to be a member of a southern Circle K club.

District Fundraising Initiative Representatives (8) – Educate the District on each of
the District Fundraising Initiatives and promote ideas on how to fundraise for each cause. Find
projects with District Fundraising Initiative charities to provide an inspiring or educational aspect to

District Event Fundraising Assistants (4) – Help with handling the logistics and promotion
of the on-site fundraisers and DFI-related service projects at FTC and DCON.


   1) Be a dues-paid member of a club in good standing.
   2) Be enrolled at least half time during the 2009-2010 term

CKI South/North is a very successful event every year. What ideas do you have to make this event
 even more successful this year? Also, what sort of new events would you want to add/remove.

In the past, it has been difficult to effectively inform clubs of what we are raising money towards.
What new ideas or improvements do you have in mind that could help inspire or encourage clubs
                       to raise money for our District Fundraising Initiatives?

                            District Event Fundraisers Assistants
  Every year the Finance and Fundraising Committee holds fundraisers at district events like Fall
 Training Conference and District Convention. Do you have any fundraising ideas for either event?
Do you have any suggestions on possibly holding fundraisers at other district events like CKI South
                                           and North?
