Picasa
We are going to explore Effects and Fixes that Picasa can do using our photos, also how to share your photos online
Double click on the image you wish to apply effects and on your left you can see three different tabs that will give you the possibility to apply different effects to your Photos.
The three tabs are: 1. Basic Fixes 2. Tuning 3. Effects As you can see on the image on your right
Crop this fix tool will help you to select a particular part of your photo and eliminate the background that you don’t need or select only the image area that interest you
Once you select the crop fix PICASA will display a list of preset crop settings.
In this case we can see a manual crop. Means that you drag the mouse pointer on the area desired without limiting yourself in particular preset sizes.
Straighten fix tool. This tool will help you to modify the perspective of your photo. For example if you scanned a photo and came out distorted and you need to straighten it up
Another useful fix is the Redeye fix. This is used to repair the redeye's that we usually get when flash reflects directly on the person’s eyes, with this tool we can easily fix this problem, even tough most of today’s digital cameras have a build in red eye fix
If you would like to insert some text on your image you can select the text tool which enables you to place some text on to your image
The Effects tab contains 12 effects that you can apply to any still photo. See photo below with different effects
Uploading from your browser Using Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, you can upload photos directly from your hard drive to Picasa Web Albums. Follow these steps: Sign in to Picasa Web Albums Click the Upload button. Choose between the Basic Uploader (all browsers) and the Upload Control (Just Internet Explorer).
Once the upload is completed you can preview your album online
If you would like to invite a specific group of persons click on the share button and on the other hand the person invited will receive an email and a link to your online album

1. Pick up an image or photo and use the TEXT effect to add the word “Lura Fil-Klassi ” on the image 2. Select the image you have created with the text, click on the share button and in the email address type “lurafilklassi@e22.com.mt”
