WALK OF FAME PROPOSAL

CONCEPTS
There were two proposed concepts to developing the Walk of Fame.
The first proposal was to align all the bricks on the side of walkways from the DFAC through the main walk of the AIT Barracks. This concept is possible only involving the preparation of the landscape to facilitate the project. We have went with planning the first proposal for the Walk of Fame. Advantage: More visibility, landscape easier to prepare, more area to place bricks.
The second proposal is more sophisticated and time-consuming. It involves aligning the red-bricks around Air Defense artifacts (i.e. old Avenger, Chaparral) along the walkways of the AIT barracks. This concept would limit the amount of bricks for purchasing and only place them in set locations with little visibility from spectators. Advantage: None to accommodate visibility of bricks and the directives of the Command.
COORDINATING TASKS
Landscape will be prepared after completion of building JUNE 2009 Air Defense artifacts can still be positioned without interfering with bricks Bricks will be adjacent to troop walkway on the north side Bricks will have more visibility if kept along walkways MSG Strehlow negotiating with contractor (Caddell Construction) to purchase the bricks in support of the fundraiser Securing a location to store brick prior to starting construction (if contractor is unable to fund) Overflow (excess) of purchased bricks could be used along the other walkways Researching a local merchant to engrave bricks later in the future
