To request a birth, death or marriage certificate from Guatemala, you have to
apply at the civil registrar of the locality where it occurred.

Usually the Registrador Civil are located near each municipality in the town.
You don’t need an exact address, all you need is the name of the town and
the Department.

You have to send as much information as you have, for example:

   •   Name (at birth/death/marriage)
   •   Date of birth/death/marriage
   •   Father’s name
   •   Mother’s name

The report cost about $6 each.
