Have you remembered to photocopy the activity sheets? Do the children
know to eat before arriving? Who is in charge of contact details?
Just to make sure everything will be ‘alright on the night‘ we recommend you make sure you
can tick every box.
Before the Event Decisions
Make sure you can answer the following questions:
Where will the children sleep? You need a boys’ area, a girls’ area and an adults’ area. It
may be best to use separate rooms.
Is there a nominated person responsible for fire procedures?
Have you got enough volunteers?
Are all your volunteers CRB checked?
Where will everyone eat and how will the rubbish be taken care of? (Remember our even
tries to have a ‘green’ theme and we encourage you to recycle as much as you can!)
Which activities will you run and where will these take place? If you are using computers or
any other equipment make sure these are safe and that you have access to them and
permission to use them.
Do you have a complete list of everyone involved, with contact numbers and medical

After the Event
Have you sent us your independent ‘Witness Statement’ as required for the world record?

Have you collected all the sponsorship money and advised The Giant Sleepover team how
much money you raised for Save the Children or other charities?
Have you completed the online feedback questionnaire and sent it back to The Giant
