Position: Full time Caregiver – contractor position
Location: Prince George
Wage: 2 bed resource ($3560 per month, $800/month/youth for maintenance)
Summary: The caregiver will work closely as a member of the Treatment team to support
youth in reaching their individualized goals. There will be a need for
comprehensive supervision for youth placed in a Care Home. The Caregiver will
provide a physically and emotionally safe, stable, alcohol and drug free, and
nurturing family environment for the Youth to reside..
Qualifications Passion for supporting youth required. Specific education and experience not
Education/Training required. Training will be provided.
Experience Required:
Must have knowledge of community resources, a valid First Aid (Level 1)
Certificate and a valid BC driver’s license. Current Non violent Crisis Intervention
(CPI or TCI).
Requirements:
Skills & Abilities: The Caregiver will support the Youth’s treatment plan as it pertains to the
home, including:
a. Working cooperatively with Program Manager and staff in the
provision of residential support for the Youth in the home;
b. Working cooperatively with others e.g. family, support people,
professionals, and community members, as required and directed by
Program Manager and staff;
c. Participating in supporting each Youth’s treatment plan.
d. Provide one-to-one time daily with each Youth and a weekly meeting
for all Youth.
e. Providing routine transportation for the Youth to and from the day
program, treatment and other activities in the community in order
to support re-integration into the community;

f. Being an integral part of the Youth’s treatment team.
g. Provide clear, reasonable, and safe behavioural expectations for the
Youth unique to their needs and abilities.
The Contractor will also provide the following documentation:
h. Maintain a written daily journal and medication log regarding each
Youth in the home and make available to the staff Monday to Friday;
i. Critical Incident or concern regarding the Youth must be reported
verbally to the Program Manager or On-call Supervisor, immediately
and followed up with a written report to the Program Manager.
Additional You will need:
Information: 2 bedrooms for the youth
To have no other children or youth in your home
To have a passion and desire to work with youth
