SUBJECT: MPF Responsibilities for Servicing Individual Mobilization Augmentees (IMAs)
and Participating Individual Ready Reserve (PIRR) Members

The action office for this MPFM is every MPF Element.

This supersedes MPFM 00-11 dated 10 Apr 00, and is a reminder to all active duty MPFs that
they are required to service individual Reservists (i.e., IMAs and Participating Individual Ready Reserve
members (Category E)), in the areas of identification cards, suspensing and ensuring Performance Reports
and Promotion Recommendation Forms (PRFs) are completed, deployment, etc. The reference is
AFCSM 36-699, Vol 1, Personnel Data Systems.

The MPF receives manpower credit for servicing the assigned and attached individual Reservists.
Every MPF must ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities to these members of our Total Force
team. These responsibilities are not the duty of the Base Individual Mobilization Augmentee
Administrator (BIMAA). The BIMAA’s role is to provide training to active duty supervisors regarding
their responsibilities towards their individual Reservists. The BIMAA also functions as an advisor to the
MPF Commander, providing important technical assistance for Reserve affairs.

All processes are dispersed functionally throughout the directorates within HQ ARPC. A
synopsis of MPF element responsibilities is at Attachment 1, while the list of office symbols and offices
at HQ ARPC that can provide technical assistance is at Attachment 2.

Please refer questions to HQ AFPC/DPSFOC, at DSN 665-2591
