Living Online Sponsorship Thank you for reading this letter, You are reading this letter because you may interested in sponsoring Living Online. In this letter you will find out what Living Online is, future plans, coding and how we plan to generate an income (profit). The team Well firstly, I will take this moment to introduce the management team at Living Online. Firstly, there is Matthew Wade, he is the lead coder – he develops the software (game). Secondly, there is Thomas Morrel. He is our lead designer – he designs all the art work for the game. Last, there is Daniel Willis, who is head of company relations. He manages the website, advertising campaigns and looks over staff, to make sure they are doing their job and know what they are doing. Our aim/goals At Living Online, we are aiming to re-create a game that is now closed, with over 10,000 paying subscribers, The Sims Online / EA-Land. EA sunsetted the game for “several” reasons (which are unknown) on the 1st August 2008. Living Online aims to give players similar features to The Sims Online. We also aim to have some original features – however, as mentioned; we aim to be a replacement for the stranded Sims (players). Page 1 of 3 Coding Coding is progressing very fast, and we may hire more coders in the future. We are coding Living Online’s client in c#. During our first few days of development, we already had login, register, regional view and the client can send and receive packets to / from the server. Our future plans for Living Online is to develop it into a popular virtual world, aiming to be better than The Sims Online. Profits We have an idea to sell a “collectors edition” within the next few years, if we are making a reasonable profit. The collectors edition will include the game on a CD-Rom, a 90 day subscription code, a poster showing the cities in-game, and many other goodies. Which we are currently unsure on. They way we will generate an income at Living Online will be to allow a subscription, which will cost $7.99 per month (£5.49). With subscription, you will be allowed more avatars, furniture, a weekly income (for doing nothing!), access to a member server, no adverts and much more. However, we are giving users the option to play for free, however, free users will have adverts in-game. Such as when the game or a players home is loading. When adverts are displayed, they will last for 5 – 10 seconds. Another way to generate an income is to allow companies to advertise with Living Online, which will have a monthly fee. Page 2 of 3 What will the money earn, go towards? The money made by Living Online will go towards future development, server fee’s, upgrade our servers (if needed), pay staff members and to improve the users experience. We thank you for reading this sponsorship letter, we really appreciate it. If you wish to sponsor Living Online, please contact us at: sponsor@living-online.co.uk.
