SECTION 06: TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
SKIN CONTACT...............Immediately bonds skin. Can cause severe burns if not immediately flushed from area of contact. May cause allergic skin reaction. SKIN ABSORPTION............Can be absorbed through the skin. EYE CONTACT................Vapours cause irritation and lacrimation. Immediately bonds eyelids. Cured adhesive will not bond well to surface of eye, but corneal damage from abrasion may result. DO NOT wear contact lenses when working with this material INHALATION.................Avoid breathing vapours. High vapour concentrations are irritating to the eyes and the respiratory tract. Inhalation may cause irritation to the nasal passages and/or the respiratory system. INGESTION..................Immediately bonds the mouth. It is almost impossible to swallow cyanoacrylate. The adhesive solidifies and adheres in the mouth. EFFECTS OF ACUTE EXPOSURE........Skin and eye irritation with possible burns. Refer to route of entry. EFFECTS OF CHRONIC EXPOSURE......May aggravate existing eye, skin, and lung conditions. LD 50 OF MATERIAL, SPECIES &.....> 2 g/kg, rabbit, dermal. > 5 g/kg, oral, rat (estimated) ROUTE LC 50 OF MATERIAL, SPECIES &.....Not available ROUTE EXPOSURE LIMIT OF MATERIAL.......See hazardous ingredients section (2) IRRITANCY OF MATERIAL............Refer to route of entry SENSITIZING CAPABILITY OF........Refer to route of entry MATERIAL CARCINOGENICITY OF MATERIAL......Hydroquinone is listed in group A3 (animal carcinogen) by ACGIH MUTAGENICITY OF MATERIAL.........Hydroquinone exhibits evidence of mutagenicity in laboratory tests TERATOGENICITY OF MATERIAL.......Not available SYNERGISTIC MATERIALS............Not available

SECTION 07: PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
GLOVES/ TYPE...............Polyethylene or PVC with disposible polyethylene liners. Do not wear rubber or cloth gloves. RESPIRATORY/TYPE...........Avoid prolonged or repeated breathing of vapour or mists. If exposure may or does exceed occupational exposure limits, use a NIOSH approved respirator to prevent overexposure. EYE/TYPE...................Safety glasses with side-shields FOOTWEAR/TYPE..............Standard work shoes. CLOTHING/TYPE..............Standard work clothes. VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS.........Use adequate general ventilation. LEAK/SPILL.......................SMALL SPILLS: Wipe up with cloth. Immediately soak cloth with water to polymerize the adhesive. Caution! Cloth containing adhesive may undergo autoignition if not soaked with water. LARGE SPILLS: Flood area with water. When cured, remove film with a scraper. Wear NIOSH approved respirator for organic vapours if needed, and protective clothing. WASTE DISPOSAL...................In accordance with municipal, provincial and federal regulations. Since emptied container retains product residues all labelled hazard precautions must be observed. HANDLING PROCEDURES AND..........Use adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid skin and eye EQUIPMENT contact. Avoid smoking, drinking or eating in use. Wash thoroughly after handling. STORAGE NEEDS....................Store below 25 deg C. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat. SPECIAL SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS....Not regulated

SECTION 08: FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT......................Immediately flush with water for a minimum of 15 minutes holding lids apart to ensure flushing of entire surface. Washing within 1 minute is essential to achieve maximum effectiveness. Seek medical attention immediately. Cured adhesive will not bond well to surface of eye, but corneal damage from abrasion may result. Do not wear contact lenses when working with this material. INGESTION........................Immediate bonding of mouth will occur. Do not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention INHALATION.......................Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention. SKIN CONTACT.....................No attempt should be made to remove material from skin or to remove contaminated clothing, as the bonded skin can be easily torn. Wash with large volumes of soap and water while flexing bonded skin parts. This procedure will slowly release bonded areas. DO NOT mechanically remove cured adhesive or attempt to pull skin apart.
