Welcome to Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. We began in 1863, in San Francisco, and our
name reflects our colorful beginnings. We were named for an arrangement in which we paid 10
percent of our profits to widows and orphans of firefighters. Our first policy was on half-interest in
1,000 kegs of Boston syrup. The premium was $12 cash in advance. Fireman’s Fund has gone
on to insure and protect some of the most historic events in U. S. history including the great fires
of a hundred years ago in Chicago and San Francisco and the building of the Golden Gate
Bridge.

Today, Fireman's Fund works to provide business and personal insurance and to bring customers
the highest caliber of claims service. We employ 5,000 people across the United States. Our
home office is nestled in the hills of beautiful Marin County, just north of San Francisco, and next
to the world famous wine growing regions of Napa and Sonoma Valleys. We have major offices
across the country in New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, and Southern California.

We offer state-of-the-art insurance products and continuously explore new products and
possibilities. We are pioneers in the development of special events coverage and have insured
high-profile events and dozens of sports franchises.

Fireman's Fund is the U.S. Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance subsidiary of Allianz,
headquartered in Germany. Allianz is one of the largest insurance companies in the world.
