  One of the largest skillets around, this oval beauty measures 15-3/4 inches along its widest dimension, making it ideal
for frying or poaching a whole fish. Moreover, the skillet can go right into the oven for further baking or for keeping your
filet warm, with a rim high enough to contain up to three quarts of liquid. Each Le Creuset skillet is individually sand-cast
 of rugged cast iron, which heats evenly and retains heat superbly, and is then clad in two coats of hard, colorful enamel
  that resists scratching or chipping. The interior of the pan is matte black. Lifting the heavy pan is made easier with the
                 helper handle opposite the long loop handle, which allows you to hang the pan from a rack.
