He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE At the Serbian Parliament's session held on July 7, 2008 Mr. Sutanovac was re-elected to the post of Minister of Defence. Mr. Sutanovac was appointed Minister of Defence in the Government of the Republic of Serbia on 15 May, 2007. From 2004 to 2007 he was at the post of Assistant President of the Committee for Defence and Security of the Serbian Parliament. From 2002 to 2003, he was a president of the Committee for Defence and Security of the Serbian Parliament. In Parliamentary Elections in 2000, 2003 and 2007 he was elected MP. In local elections in 2000 and 2004 he was voted deputy in the Belgrade City Assembly. In 2001 he was appointed Assistant Federal Minister of Interior. In November 2000, he was appointed Special Advisor in the Federal Ministry of Interior. FURTHER SPECIALIZATION He specialized successively in security courses in the USA and gained a diploma in law enforcement, a diploma in security issues and oversight, as well as a prestigious diploma of the US- German Marshall Centre for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. He did his internship in the European Committee in Strasbourg and Brussels. He speaks English. He served his military duty from 1987 to 1988 in Sombor - signal unit.
