National Park Service Honors U.S. Veterans and Members of the U.S. Armed Forces at Lava Beds National Monument
Superintendent, Craig W. Dorman, is pleased to announce that on Saturday, November 11, U.S. Veterans, members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families will be admitted free of charge to Lava Beds National Monument and most public lands managed by the Department of the Interior and the Department of Agriculture. We hope that Veterans, members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families will visit Lava Beds National Monument, and other National Park sites, as we honor them for their service to our country. Entrance fees will be waived at National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation and U.S. Forest Service areas. This annual fee-free day will always be held on November 11, regardless of the day of the week or the date of the observed holiday. This new fee- free day has been established in addition to National Public Lands Day, held annually in September.
