This diagram shows how CO² emissions are splitebetween the different consumption sectors. We notice that the emissions are mainly generated by Electricity production,
Transport, and to a lesser degree by industry. It’s interesting to notice that electricity production and transport are the two sectors where the need of energy grows the most, and
therefore where the biggest effort has to be produced.

                    Implementation of the new « CO² Tax »    Implementation of the definitive Tax
                    for road vehicles (M1) </= 3.5 t         and billing of the difference from
                    registered from 1 st January 2001 on.    January > anniversary date.
                    (The amount charged from January on will
                    be provisional, and will be corrected
                    in May/June).



Light vans, trucks, tractors, trailors and semi-trailors will continue to be charged on their Maximal Authorised Mass (MMA)
but tax will increase between 53 and 73%.(No C0² emissions available)
