                                    SHORT TENDER NOTICE
Sealed item rate tenders are invited by Senior Manager-Engg.(Elect.), AAI, Madurai Airport on
behalf of Chairman, AAI from the Manufacturers/Authorized dealers/Specialized agencies who
have carried out similar nature of works for the work of “Construction of NITB at Madurai
Airport. SH:SITC of RO & Water coolers.” Estimated cost: Rs. 12.60 Lacs Time Allowed:
One Month. Tenders will be issued on 17.05.2010 and will be received till 24.05.2010 up to
1500 Hrs. and opened on the same day at 1530 Hrs. The Scope of work includes SITC of 50 LPH
RO Plant, 40/80 Ltrs SS water cooler & Drinking water fountain.

Tender forms will be issued to those who produce certificate from clients having satisfactorily
completed (#phase/part completion of the scope of work in a contract shall not be considered) at
least for three works each of Rs. 5.04 Lacs. (or) two works each of Rs.6.30 Lacs. (or) one work
of Rs. 10.08 lacs. similar nature of work during the last seven years ending on 30.04.2010
(firms showing work experience certificate from Non Government / Non PSU organizations should
submit ‘Tax deduction at Source certificate’ in support of their claim for having experience of
stipulated value of works), and produce proof of annualized average financial turnover For Rs.
3.78 lacs. during the last three years ending 31st March 2009.

Application for issue of Tender Document shall be submitted up to 15.05.2010 on all working
days along with Tender fee of Rs.520.00 (500+taxes) (Non Refundable) in the form of Demand
Draft drawn in favour of Airports Authority of India payable at Madurai. The application shall be
supported with self attested copies of Permanent Account Number (PAN), Dealership certificate,
Client certificate for experience indicating date of completion as per agreement and actual date of
completion of work (Experience Certificate should contain work order copy, bill of quantities,
completion certificate). The financial turnover should be supported with annual report (abridge
balance sheet and profit & loss account). Agencies requesting for tender documents by post shall
mention the same in application itself and a self-addressed stamped(Rs.100/-) envelope of size
40 x 30-cm shall be submitted along with the application. AAI is not responsible for postal delay /
loss of documents, if any.

Purchase preference to Central Public Sector Undertaking shall be applicable as per the directives
of Govt. of India prevalent on the date of acceptance.

If at any stage, any information / documents submitted by the applicant is found to be false, the
agency shall be liable for debarment from tendering in AAI.

AAI reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reasons.
AAI reserves the right to disallow issue of tender document to working agencies whose
performance at ongoing project(s) below par and unusually poor.
