1. Company Overview



1.1 Business Overview

Headquartered in Tokyo, Isuzu Motors Limited (Isuzu) manufactures and sells commercial

vehicles, such as large-sized trucks, buses, small-sized trucks and pick-up trucks, light

commercial vehicles, engines and parts. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is also

engaged in the provision of automobile repair and logistics services, leasing of real estate

and financial business.

Isuzu has 93 subsidiaries and 56 associated companies. It has sales operations in the

United States, the United Kingdoms, Germany, Poland, Turkey, China, Taiwan, Thailand,

Singapore, Indonesia, Philippine, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia and Egypt.





1.2 Key Figures

The company recorded revenues of $19,383 million (¥1,924833 million) during the fiscal

year ended 31st March 2008 up from $14,102 million (¥1,662,925 million) during the fiscal

year ended 31st March 2007. This translates to a year-on-year increase of 37.5 percent in

US dollar terms, which can be attributed to the exchange rate change. In terms of Japanese

yen, the increase was just 15.7 percent.

The net profit was $766 million (¥76,021 million) during the fiscal year ended 31st March

2008 down from $784 million (¥92,394 million) during the fiscal year ended 31st March

2007, a decrease of 2.3 percent in terms of dollar or a decrease of 17.7 percent in terms of

Japanese yen.

The company’s total assets witnessed an increase to $12,547 million (¥1,245,947 million)

during the fiscal year ended 31st March 2008 from $10,449 million (¥1,232,181 million)

during the fiscal year ended 31st March 2007.

Isuzu employed 7,571 employees in the financial year ended 31st March 2008 up from

7,371 employees in the financial year ended 31st March 2007.
