Winter Film Festival
“Shenandoah Valley of the Virginias”
Effigy Mounds National Monument continues the 45 annual Winter Film Festival on Saturday, February 16 , with “Shenandoah Valley of the Virginias”. Show times for the film are 10:00, 11:00 a.m., 12 noon, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17 . There will also be a 1:00 p.m. showing on Monday, February 18 . “Shenandoah Valley of the Virginias” will take us deep in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachias to explore the rich history, beauty, and fascinating events of the area. This area is known for mountain folklore, battlefields, and breathtaking scenery. Many famous men such as George Washington and Stonewall Jackson called this area home and helped write its proud heritage. This week's display will be “Birds of the Upper Midwest” from the Upper Mississippi Wildlife & Fish Refuge, McGregor, Iowa.
