Nov. 29, 2010 Seducing the Elect Kathleen Maples
Jesus has called His disciples, and began His ministry in Galilee, teaching in the synagogues,
and preaching the gospel. He went about healing all kinds of sickness-He never sent anyone
who believed in Him away without touching their lives, meeting a need. No sickness or disease
could withstand His power. No unclean spirit, no devil could continue to torment a soul that
came into contact with Jesus Christ. Even those who were lunatic, as the KJV translates, which
means insane, had their minds restored. Those who had the palsy- which means paralyzed,
regained the use of their limbs. This was not what the people got at church. The people who
attended services at the synagogues and the temple, they didn't get this kind of ministry of
deliverance and compassion from the Pharisees and the Sadducees. The Scribes couldn't
explain the Word of God with life and power as this Man did. He spoke with authority, and the
results of His ministry were obvious. He treated people with kindness, and He reached out to
all, not just those who were wealthy or well educated. He had compassion on the poor, the sick,
the hurting. He touched the untouchable. He loved the unlovable.
Soon, great multitudes of people were following Him. They had all seen enough to know there
was something unique about Him. The Word of God tells us that God gave every human being
THE measure of faith needed to believe Him (Rom_12:3). He came to these people in a
demonstration of the Spirit of God with power. He didn't just come with big religious claims
and rules. He came in the power of the Holy Spirit.
He went up into a mountain, found a good place to sit where the people could rest and hear
Him. He had some things to say. He didn't do this in the city, or in the town square, He went
outside the established centers of religion and the people followed Him. When He spoke, He
addressed those who were afflicted, and mourning inwardly first. He told the people many
things. What He told them contradicted the teaching and spirit of the Pharisee's words. The
teaching of Jesus was very different from the religious establishment though they taught from
the same Word. When Jesus taught, His Word was breathed on, made alive by the Holy Spirit.
It penetrated hearts, it healed, it revived, it changed, it convicted, it drew the people. He was
that Word that was made flesh. He was the Word He spoke. He was the message He preached.
Today, there are many things being taught in many churches. It is taught much like the
Pharisees and the Sadducees did. It is taught without power, without authority and without
the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit. As a result, people leave the house of God
unchanged, unmoved, and feeling more hopeless and frustrated than when they got there.
There are many different interpretations of the meaning of the Scriptures. This happens when
men consult men rather than presenting themselves to the Holy Spirit as God intended and let
Him teach us. Spirit taught preachers will all say the same thing. There's no varying or private
interpretation of this Book. Just as Paul was taught the Word of God by the Spirit of God,
(Gal_1:16) we can be taught by Him too.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach
you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught
you, you shall abide in him.
The anointing is the power and PRESENCE of the Holy Spirit. The Lord promised in the Gospel
of John He would ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit to us and He would teach us, guide us,
prepare us, inform us, and empower us. He will convict and convince us. When you have a
group of believers who are all Spirit taught the Word of God, they all say the same thing.
There's no division over what this Scripture means-they agree. Only the Holy Spirit is qualified
to interpret the Word of God because He wrote it. We all have the privilege to take this Holy
Bible and get alone with Him and ask and trust Him to teach it to us. We all have His abiding
Presence offered to us, we all can lay hold of Him because He was promised. We must have
Him. We may all obtain the promise of His Presence in us and with us. He was sent to stay with
us. To live with us, and in us. We do not need man to teach us what the Word of God means and
how it applies to our lives. HE is well able to do that if we will present ourselves to Him, with
hungry hearts, and give Him time. The same ability, and gift of the Spirit's presence in our lives
will instruct and learn us what we must know. And when we go to church if the man in the
pulpit is truly hearing from and seeking God, he will preach truth we are learning at home.
There will be no confusion. There are so many different religions, doctrines, denominations,
belief systems and teachings out there we must be taught by the Spirit of Truth or we will be
Mat 7:13 Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and
many there be who go in there:
Mat 7:14 Because narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.
We can only go in through the only entrance there is. It's a straight and narrow entrance. The
word for gate here means entrance, it figuratively means condition. There is a condition we
must enter into. It's a condition only the Holy Spirit can make reality in our lives. What
condition must we enter into? Being hid in Christ. We must be IN Christ for HE is the Door into
this condition, this way which leads to life eternal. Jesus Christ alone is the WAY, the TRUTH
and the LIFE. IN HIM all the Godhead dwells. In HIM is the only access we have to life and to
God-and that means to heaven, too. Every human being is on a journey in this life, but there
are only two paths, only two destinations. In Christ, and not in Christ. Heaven and hell. There
is a wide path and anything goes on that journey. It's flat, broad, and the journey on that path
is easy. That's not to say life on that wide path is easy, for all experience loss and suffering,
pain and confusion at times. But that way is the path of least resistance. It's a way of thinking,
feeling, acting, deciding, by the means of human wisdom, follow your own thoughts and
pursue your own desires, and it leads to death-to absolute destruction.
HOW can you say that? Because all of humanity has been born infected with a sin nature. We
are naturally inclined to want any and everything but God. Left to our own devices we will
take up destructive habits, and live selfish lives. To go that way will cause that person to be
ruined and end up in eternal misery in an eternal hell where there are many ways in but no
way out. Just like the law of physics is if you jump up you will come back down, if human
beings live for themselves, and serve the desires of their flesh they will perish. There isn't more
than one way to abundant life, to heaven, JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY way. Only the Holy
Spirit can put us in the Body of Jesus Christ. The way is very restricted to fullness, to
resurrection life. It's a life devoted to God and few will be able to understand, or see it. Few will
recognize its value and press in to obtain it. It's a struggle, and to enter demands we deny
ourselves and embrace HIM.
Luk_13:24 Jesus says "strive to enter in, for many will try but few will be able to enter in". It's a
fight to enter in here because it's the only true entrance. Satan does not resist those heading to
death, only to life. This is where some people get offended. You hear the questions "there are so
many faiths out there, how do you know Christianity is the right way?" Because CHRIST is
Christianity and when HE lives in you, His Holy Spirit will teach you truth. The Creator can't
live in you and you not know it. Most of what passes or professes itself to be Christianity today
is not the real thing.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
A false prophet is a person who says things, prophesies things, such as future events, and
pretends God has told them what they claim. We know sheep are the people of God, His true
children. They are clothed with His righteousness, with meekness, gentleness, humility,
kindness. So you have a wolf come in with this same appearance, same outward demeanor.
They appear righteous on the outside, they speak and act kindly, in an attempt to worm their
way in among the flock. So let's focus on wolves a bit. What do we really understand about
wolves and their behavior? Jesus compared false prophets to them so let's learn why.
Wolves travel in packs, and hunt in packs. Where there is one, others are nearby. They roam
large distances. They are not afraid to hunt animals bigger than themselves, but work together
with the pack to bring down the bigger animal. When they catch their prey, they are gluttons.
They do not eat just a little. They wear their pray down by chasing it until it's exhausted and
can't run anymore. Their hearing is very sharp. They can see better in the dark than any dog.
They will conceal themselves as they approach their prey so the prey will not see, hear or smell
them coming until it's too late to avoid being attacked. They will either try to divide the herd,
or isolate one or two of the weaker, more vulnerable animals from it. If the targeted animal
stands its ground, the wolves either ignore it, or try to intimidate it into running. Sometimes
one wolf will distract the herd with its visible presence while the others in the pack sneak up for
attack unnoticed until it's too late. Wolves also sometimes set up ambushes for their prey. With
sheep, wolves may grab the animal by the neck and stun it by jerking its head downward,
hitting its nose on the ground.
One important concern about wolves that you wouldn't normally consider is they can cause the
spread of infectious diseases and dangerous parasites. When you research this, and see the
damage these diseases and parasites wolves can carry and infect others with, it's alarming.
The wolf itself, as a predator is dangerous enough. The disease and parasites they can spread
are just as dangerous. These include rabies, which causes the brain to swell and the victim to
run a high fever, with headache, become violently ill, depressed, afraid, experience
uncontrolled bowel movements, and violent muscle movements, with acute and increasing
pain. Finally, the victim goes into a coma and dies as they lose the ability to breathe. Wolves
can also spread anthrax. Anthrax spores can live long periods of years in the soil and are most
often eaten by herbivores-the prey of wolves. When the wolf eats the infected animal, it too
becomes infected. Victims experience chest pain, increasing difficulties with breathing,
internal bleeding and tissue destruction. Eventually the respiratory system collapses and the
victim dies. It's a slow, painful death, as with rabies. Other diseases include Listeriosis which
causes flu like symptoms, but is more serious to infants, the elderly and someone without a
properly working immune system. Rabbit fever, caused by tick bites and deer flies. The
incubation period for rabbit fever, is 1 to 14 days; most human infections become apparent
after 3 to 5 days. Clinical signs include fever, lethargy, anorexia, signs of septicemia, (bacteria
in the blood at toxic levels) and possibly death. Another parasite, Brucellosis induces
inconstant fevers, sweating, weakness, anemia, headaches, depression and muscular and
Wolves also carry canine corona virus. Symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, and anorexia.
Usually a wolf who shows symptoms of disease will leave its pack, preventing the spread of the
sickness to its mate and the rest of the pack. Wolves also carry parasites. Ticks, biting lice,
sucking lice and the fleas. These are external parasites. Internal parasites include nematodes
such as roundworms, and are also carriers of Trichinella spiralis-a very serious and deadly
parasite. The first symptoms may appear between 12 hours and two days after ingestion of
infected meat, (humans can get this from pork which is not cooked properly). The migration of
worms in the intestines can cause traumatic damage to the host tissue and the waste products
they excrete can provoke an immunological reaction. The resulting swelling can cause nausea,
vomiting, sweating and diarrhea. Five to seven days after the appearance of symptoms facial
swelling and fever may occur. After 10 days, intense muscular pain, difficulty breathing,
weakening of pulse and blood pressure, heart damage and various nervous disorders may
occur, eventually leading to death due to heart failure, respiratory complications or kidney
malfunction. Other internal parasites include tapeworms which cause diarrhea, anorexia,
nausea, vomiting, anal itching, colic, ascites, headaches and weight loss. Wolves may carry
microscopic, spore forming, single celled parasites which is of particular concern to farmers,
as the disease can be spread to livestock; infected animals are much more likely to abort their
young than those not infected.
Now, that sounds like a lot to digest. But briefly consider the symptoms of these: inability to
retain or draw nutrients from food, loss of weight, pain, internal bleeding (loss of life source),
tissue deterioration, lethargy, anemia, (leading to weakness) headaches, depression, fever,
septicemia, difficulty breathing, heart failure, inability to carry babies to term.
How much of that is in the church. People who are battling depression, who hear the Word of
God preached but aren't helped by it. It's not changing their lives, it's not strengthening them
and empowering them as it should. It's not liberating them as it is supposed to. Their faith is
weak, and they don't have the strength or power to reproduce and share the life and power of
the Spirit of God with others. Remember Peter and John going up to the temple encountering
the lame man? Such as I have, Peter said, give I you. He had the life and power of the Presence
of the Holy Spirit in Him. The Holy Spirit is the One who healed that lame man, not Peter.
With false teachers, and false prophets, they have a corrupt power source. Yes, Satan can
preach the Bible, and work miracles. Their works and their words will subtly reflect his nature,
not God's. His nature is envious (of God), selfish, angry, covetous, and proud. He draws to
himself, not to Christ. He doesn't rejoice in the perfection of the Lord, the undeserved grace of
the Lord, nor in the cross of the Lord. His message will always lead people away from the
reality of the cross. He will never glorify Christ alone. The messages are always centered on
people and what people must do. He binds them with lies, misleads them with smooth promises
as he exploits their own human nature and caters to it, blinding them with his deceitful ways.
There is only death in it. It makes them spiritually sick, it hinders, and can even abort the life
of God that He meant for them to have. Others are incapable of digesting and benefiting from
the Word of God, though they hear it, they can't draw life from it. When it's preached as a dead
letter by a religious person without the Spirit of God, it kills people spiritually. It wounds, and
2 Co_3:6 explains the letter (the law) kills-it proves self effort, and human works in human
strength cannot ever make us perfect or fit for heaven, but the the New Covenant, which centers
on the cross is ministered, by the Holy Spirit, and it gives life. Many are plagued with toxic
thoughts and fears planted in their minds by Satan's false messengers that separate them from
the victorious, overcoming life the Lord meant them to enjoy. It's like they have a spiritual
parasite, sucking the life right out of them.
We must be able to recognize these wolves in sheep's clothing. We must remember Satan was
smart enough to deceive a third of heaven's angels. We cannot trust ourselves for our thoughts
feed our feelings, and both draw from the corrupt well of our human sin nature. We can only
trust the Holy Spirit-HE alone is truth. He was sent to teach us this Word of God and we must
have HIM. He won't let us be deceived for He is our discernment. This is a result of His Presence
in our lives, just as love, joy, peace, kindness, and all the other fruits of the Spirit. They are
EVIDENCE of the presence of the Holy Ghost in our lives, inseparable from Him. If He departs,
so will the fruit.
Jesus said "You shall know them by their fruit." (Mat_7:20) You will recognize and understand
them. You will perceive what they are. By their deeds, works, behavior, by the results of their
deeds, you will understand who they are, and who they serve. He explains that men don't
gather grapes from thorns. Good trees don't bear bad fruit. Bad trees don't bear good fruit.
We've already looked at the resulting damage a wolf can cause not only through direct attacks,
but more subtle destruction-through disease and parasite infection. This happens when a wolf
bites a sheep, or leaves droppings in their pasture. Sheep will eat what is put in front of them
for the most part. The shepherd must exercise caution and diligence in checking the pasture,
clearing it, that is why he must go before the sheep leading the way. He has already been in the
pasture clearing it of any threat. He doesn't let the sheep eat in one place too long because he
knows they will become infected with parasites even if there's not a wolf around. He
understands the natural life cycle of these things and interrupts it for the safety of the sheep,
moving them from one pasture to another regularly. A Christian must likewise move on and
grow in the Lord or stagnate and die. You cannot remain in the same place.
These false prophets and teachers will come in, are sent in among the sheep. In the natural, a
wolf will devour a sheep, killing it. It will take the life of the sheep. A sheep has no natural
defense against a wolf or any other predator except the shepherd. Jesus said these wolves in
sheep's clothing were ravening. This word means they are excessively greedy, grasping for
whatever they can get, destructive, robbers of life. This is what they live for.
Jesus said He sent His people forth as sheep among wolves, to be wise and careful as a snake,
but harmless as doves. For that to make sense we must consider HE is the Shepherd, He said
He'd never leave or forsake us, but would guide our steps, empower us with the Holy Spirit and
take care of us. Over and over He told the disciples not to be afraid. So for a defenseless sheep
to go forward among wolves, and be wise (Jesus is our wisdom 1Co_1:30) and harmless means
we must depend absolutely on the Holy Spirit in us to do what needs doing. We are no match
for wolves. We are no match for Satan. So obedience to this requires absolute dependence on
Mat 7:21 Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does
the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name
have cast out demons? and in your name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.
Not everyone who calls Him Lord will come into the kingdom of heaven. Many call Him Lord
but few will actually yield to His Lordship. If these people were prophesying in His name,
which means in His authority, His character, His position, and seeing results, working
miracles, casting out demons, why then does He reject them and call them workers of iniquity?
Because they did this by another spirit than His own. They weren't His. The devil is a master
deceiver. David Copperfield has nothing on him. He is the master illusionist. But he won't set
anyone free from himself.
Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were
possible, even the elect.
Christ means the Anointed One, sent by God. He was the Word made flesh. Jesus warned, many
would come in His name, saying they are Christ and deceive many in Mar_13:6. They are
claiming they are full of the Holy Spirit of God, and speak for God. They are claiming they have
been sent where they are by God. They claim the miracles they may perform are by God's Spirit
through them. They shall show signs. The word for show translates to bestow a gift. This
means they will give you something that will seem to be to your advantage. They will present
something, and seem to have power, they will bring you another gospel, another Jesus. It will
be a counterfeit. There's a lot of imparting this and that to others going on in the name of Jesus
that is not of God. They are going to come in with gifts, flatteries, smooth words, kindness,
appearing meek and humble, and able to work miracles. The word for signs means a
distinguishing mark, a miracle, an unusual occurrence, foretelling remarkable events soon to
happen, a prodigy. (Thayer's Greek Definitions) A prodigy is someone who is gifted, talented,
has natural ability. Personal charisma, natural talent all are distractions from the cross, from
These false Christs will also show wonders, which means nearly the same thing as signs-again,
prodigy and portent, with miracles. They will have a magnetic personality and natural
abilities that will draw people to them like flies to honey. Jesus said these things they will use
to seduce, to lead astray if it were possible, if it were capable, or able through strong influence
the elect-those who have been called of God and CHOSEN. I've heard the elect preached as a lot
of things, but the word means 'chosen'. Jesus said many are called but few are chosen.
(Mat_22:14) It's the same word in the Greek. It means selected. All are invited to come, to enter
into life. Many will not be chosen because they will not endure the struggle to enter in at the
straight gate. Many are being fed lies that tell them part of the Gospel but not all. Many believe
and teach you can accept Jesus by confessing Him but don't actually possess Him and don't
even realize that. Many live like they want to all of the time but when faced with a problem will
cry out to God as a sinner to help them and expect He must treat them like one of His own.
Many refuse to accept or don't understand that everything in their heart is against God until
they are born again by HIS SPIRIT. To overcome ourselves we must have a power stronger
than we are. The only One is the Holy Spirit.
Pro 14:12 There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
If we live and trust in what we think is right that is the wide path that leads to death and
2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,
who shall secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
These are pretenders, religious imposters. They will introduce or quietly bring in heresy. What
they bring in is destructive and will cause the people to perish. Heresy is displayed in three
ways. First, the Biblical definition of heresy tells us it's a chosen personal opinion or choice to
believe something contrary to truth or way of life. People choose to believe and live how and
what they want based on how it makes them feel. They are trusting in a corrupt heart and a
corrupt mind when they make this choice. Again, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the
life and no man comes to the Father but by me." Joh_14:6. Second, it's a select group who hold
this belief and follow it. One person believes it and soon persuades others. Third, it results in
divisions and conflict in the church. Damnable heresies, Peter calls them. They will result in the
ruin or loss of truth, which will result in the eternal destruction of the soul who receives the lie.
Finally, fourth, because they choose to believe or follow their own opinion on what truth is
rather than the Word of God, they contradict Him. They deny and refuse Him who redeemed
them and inflict on themselves impending destruction. He alone is the way to life-there is no
2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their shameful ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with false words exploit you: whose judgment of old now lingers
not, and their destruction slumbers not.
Many will imitate and yield to their destructive ways and because of these heresies the way of
Truth-Jesus Christ- will be evil spoken of. There's so much phony and powerless religion in the
world today that people mock it, scoff at it, and laugh at it. They use the name of the Son of God
as a curse word. There's no fear of God in the eyes of sinners anymore because they see the
church displaying no fear of God. The church, for the most part, depends on themselves and
functions in their own strength and human wisdom just like the world. Through covetous
practices, this means avarice, fraud, extortion, they will with lies make merchandise out of
you. They'll sell you a lie and cause you to trade the truth for it. And many buy into it. All you
have to do is turn on TBN or any number of "gospel" TV channels to see it.
We are told in Rom 8 if we walk after the flesh we will die. That simply means if we live to
pursue the desires of our own selves, and allow our own thoughts and feelings to rule us, to
direct what we do, where we go and how we live, we will die. But, if we walk, or live in the
Spirit, led by, nourished by, sustained by the Holy Spirit, and let HIM dictate our behavior, and
where we go and what we do, then we will find eternal life. Self draws from a corrupt well, but
the Holy Spirit is the living waters the Lord told the people about in Luk 7. He is not corrupt,
but pure. One is wrong, (us) and One is right (Him). Like it or not, that is how it is.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, impurity,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, selfishness, divisions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also
told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
The behavior, the deeds of self have quite an ugly list, amen? This is the result of the nature of
Satan that mankind was infected with when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. These things
are manifest, or obvious. Adultery-finding your pleasure and satisfaction elsewhere than the
One you are married to. Giving your time and affection to another. This doesn't just apply to
marital infidelity. You secretly watch pornography? You betray your spouse and God. You find
pleasure in another. You get upset about something and run to the phone instead of your knees,
you betray your God. You hurt and fear and seek comfort in food, drugs, money, or anything
else but the Comforter and you betray your God. Fornication? That's sexual immorality-doesn't
matter if it's cheating on your spouse, incest, homosexuality, bestiality, whatever kind of
deviant sex you can think of. It's deviating from what is normal and right in the eyes of God.
Uncleanness-how can a Christian be unclean? Refusing to surrender sinful things in our life to
the blood and Lordship of Christ. Lasciviousness? That's being wanton, indulging in unbridled,
shameless lust for whatever it is the heart is fixed on, be it a person, place or thing. Idolatry?
Worshiping something other than God. Self is the number one idol in the world. Witchcraft?
The word in the Greek is pharmakeia. It means medication, and magic or sorcery. So many are
medicating themselves in this society to try to cope with the pressures and problems of life, and
in their bodies and minds. Pain pills, drugs that altar people's moods and thought processes,
and getting high are so addictive they literally have got a stranglehold on people's lives. It
destroys lives. Sorcery, magical arts. These define certain objects as being due worship, such
as the EARTH, figures, or idols. This is one reason I despise the Green movement. It's a religion
of worshiping the earth. Worship the creature, not the Creator. That is the philosophy at its
core. They have a false system of discovering divine will so the result is always a lie. Magic is
the attempt of Satan to imitate the power of God. Touch it not, neither in Ouija boards, tarot
cards, seances, movies, or books. It's self trying to find out and have power aside from God, just
like those who built the tower of Babel were trying to get to heaven their own way.
Hatred, being hostile or opposing others for whatever reason-be it race, belief, or conduct. In
our society the word "Right" has taken on the meaning of a dirty word in most political and
media circles. Variance-this means quarreling, arguing, contention, debating or striving with
others. Emulations-envy, malice, indignation against another because of jealousy. Wrath?
Fierce passion. Seditions-people being divided. People are divided over race, religion, politics,
money, personal opinions (there's that heresy again) which is next, by the way on the list. The
devil knows a house or a nation divided will fall. Politicians possessed with these attitudes and
ideals are being manipulated by Satan to tear this country apart with their class envy, race
envy, special interest group mentality. This is what's being done to America. What once was a
nation that looked to God, for the most part, now looks to self. You can see the result is not
pretty. Immigration is the new hotbed issue dividing this country. If you want to be lawful,
obey the law, enforce the law, you are termed racist and told you can't. On July 28, 2010 a
judge struck down key parts of the Arizona law that mirrors the federal law as wrong, refusing
to allow them to enforce laws that are on the books. Seditions. Illegals marching in the streets
demanding rights due only citizens. It's flesh. Self interest provoked to pursue certain goals or
ideals. Some are good, most are bad. Still, it's selfishness. Envyings which is ill will against
another, detracting against another due to jealousy of what that person has or the position and
influence they have. I've seen a lot of that in the media over Sarah Palin, and other outspoken
and conservative women. Murder-you can physically kill or you can spiritually kill someone.
Legalistic, in the flesh religious people trying to force their opinions on new believers have
committed spiritual murder, thinking they serve God while killing His newborn babes with
their religion. Drunkenness-being intoxicated on anything that dulls your spiritual senses-be it
TV, food, drink, drugs, TV or other activity. Reveling is letting loose restraint. Rioting. Going
overboard. Over indulging in worldly entertainment, feasts and parties will kill any spiritual
life and sensitivity you may have had.
These are things we need to be aware of and avoid at all costs. If there was ever an hour of time
the people of God need discernment it is now. We must carefully, prayerfully read His Word
and talk with Him about it, depending on Him for everything we need, think, believe and do.
He alone is truth. If we reject truth, if we neglect light, all that is left is darkness and deceit and
