The bags and drums were analyzed periodically, and at the end of the storage study. All intermediate and final samples maintained adherence to NF specifications. This validated P&G’s prior experience, which was that flaked cetyl and stearyl alcohol is stable under normal storage conditions for at least three years. No specific data has been collected for the shelf-life of opened containers of alcohol.
