                    How Cruise Vouchers Work

                                        All About the Vouchers

Too Good To Be True?
Cruise Voucher UK has made hidden cost cruises a thing of the past! While I will not explain how
Cruise Voucher UK is able to do this I will explain how it all works for you. I understand the feeling
that “if something seems to good to be true, then it must not be true”. But read on and find out that
indeed this opportunity is completely real.

I urge you read everything here carefully. While the opportunity is real there are rules and regulations
that you need to be aware of. For example, there are limits on how frequently you can book and what
types of cruises you can book. There are limits on groups trying to book cruises together. There
are...well you get the idea. You need to be sure that cruise voucher is the right fit for you and your
cruising desires. As I tell my clients, the cost of getting such a great price is that you need to be
patient and flexible. So don't be so excited by the opportunity that you ignore the important
details.

Even if you have learned about cruise vouchers before be sure to review everything in order to keep up
with the changes. This ebook is updated periodically to reflect important changes in the program and
the the Terms and Conditions (the link to download the latest edition is on the bottom of every page).
Right now this is the Oct. 2010 update and it includes important information about a change in the
booking of Premium cruises as well as the addition of the new “Plus” vouchers.

We want happy customers and happiness starts with information. If you have any questions that are not
answered here you can reach me through eBay or use my email: dave@best-cheap-cruises.com.

Bidding on Vouchers on eBay

It Doesn't Matter Which eBay Site You Buy Your Voucher On
Please note that most of our vouchers are listed on the UK and Australian eBay sites. It doesn't matter
which site you get your voucher from – they are all good for the cruises listed on our website. So if
you live in Spain or the US and win a Diamond voucher on the Australian site, no problem – your
Diamond voucher is good for any Diamond cruise on our website (info below). Likewise if you live in
Australian and win one on the UK site, again, no problem. All vouchers are good for all of the cruises
we offer in that voucher category (by category I mean the type of voucher: Platinum, Diamond,
Titanium, Titanium Plus and Rainbow Plus).

New to eBay? Read the Next Three Paragraphs Carefully
Remember that when you bid on eBay you are making a legal agreement to pay should you win. Many
people who learn about the cruise vouchers are new to eBay and do not fully understand how it works.
We do not exclude people with low feedback scores from bidding (many sellers do), but we ask you to
understand fully what you are bidding on (by reading this document!) and to understand that your bid is
a commitment.

Make Certain Your PayPal Account Is Ready to Go Before You Bid
We only accept payment with PayPal. If you are not sure you have the funds readily available in
PayPal to pay within four days of winning, or if your Paypal account is not completely set up and ready
to go – PLEASE DO NOT BID.

If payments are not received within four days your auction could be submitted to eBay's resolution
process. This would be a negative mark on your new eBay account. You don't want this nor do we.
Wait until you are completely set up and funded before bidding.

Currency Issues

Caution! You May Be Bidding In a Foreign Currency
As our vouchers are listed on various eBay sites around the world (UK, AU, etc.) you may find
yourself bidding in a currency that you are not familiar with such as Pounds (UK) or Australian Dollars
(AUD). So, for example, if you are in the USA and want to bid US $500 and put 500 as your bid on
the UK site you may be distressed to learn that you just bid about $800 US dollars!

Resource for Currency Conversion
In order to avoid a bad surprise please use an online currency conversion service before you bid. There
are many free currency conversion sites online. The one I use is here: www.xe.com/ucc/ . It is very
simple and fast and will save you grief if you are unfamiliar with the differences in the values of the
currencies involved.

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 7
PayPal Currency Issues
Also, you should keep in mind that PayPal uses their own conversion tables that may not match exactly
what you find on other sites. Plus currencies fluctuate on a daily, even hourly, basis. So the amount
you end up paying in US dollars (or any other currency) might be somewhat more or less than you
thought it would be. These things are not within the control of Cruise Voucher UK or eBay and we
cannot be held responsible for any variations you experience.

Main Cruise Voucher Website

You Will Want to Bookmark This Link!
The cruises you can choose from with your Cruise Voucher are only available on our main website.
Cruise Vouchers are not redeemed directly with the cruise lines, only through our website. Here
is the link to our website: www.cruisevoucher.co.uk .

While you are on the website be sure to check out:

Available Cruises
In the left column of the website you will see several links. Click on “Cruises” and you will find the
cruise listings. If you bid on a Diamond cruise you will look at the Diamond cruises on the website.
Likewise there are links to the listings for Rainbow Plus, Titanium Plus, Titanium and Platinum cruises
if you should choose one of those vouchers instead.

Terms and Conditions
When you visit the website be sure to carefully read the Terms and Conditions (linked in the left
column of the website). This is very important as we want you to understand completely all of the
rules and to 100% happy with your experience. Perhaps one of the key items you will want to examine
are the reservation limits we place on the vouchers (see the section “All About Booking and Travel in
this ebook as well).

Testimonials
I would suggest that one of the first stops you should make when you get to the main website
(www.cruisevoucher.co.uk) is the “Testimonials” page. There you will find stories from a number of
people who have cruised with us recently. How do you know these are testimonials? Each
testimonial includes the eBay ID of that person. You can contact them directly through eBay and
confirm the truth of their comments.

When a Cruise Voucher Might Not Work for You

You Shouldn't Buy a Voucher If...
Because not all cruises are offered, and because almost all of them are listed ten or more months
in advance, the vouchers are best for those who are patient and flexible. The more specific your
desires (a particular port, a particular date, etc.) the less likely the voucher will work for you. This is

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 8
especially true for anyone who wants to take a cruise soon...in the next few months or so. (But even if
we cannot help you with a specific cruise need now, the voucher will give you the opportunity to take a
different exciting cruise in the future.)

Group Travel Is Prohibited*
Another significant limitation you should be aware of is that group travel is prohibited. This includes
extended families, groups of friends and organizations. In addition, you may only book one voucher at
a time so there is no way to use two vouchers to get an extra cabin for a larger family (children/extra
passengers may be added at the cruise line rates). More in the Booking section.

* The prohibition on group travel has been relaxed somewhat with the additon of the Plus vouchers.
Friends (not family) can book two Plus vouchers/cabins on the same cruise. More on this below.

What is Covered By the Voucher and What is NOT Covered

What Is Covered
Cruise Voucher UK really has done away with hidden costs! When you win a voucher auction the price
you pay then covers all of your costs for two people. This includes:

   • Your cabin for Two People (not shared with strangers! :-)
   • Meals in non-premium restaurants and some drinks
   • Most on board activities and entertainment
   • Taxes, Port Fees and Fuel Surcharges

What Is Not Covered
The most important expense you must consider beside the cruise itself is the cost of travel to and from
the cruise. Cruise Vouchers only cover the cost of the cruise itself – you are responsible for the cost of
travel to and from the cruise. In addition you are responsible for most drinks (including all alcoholic
beverages), gratuities and all premium on-board services.

Premium services might inclued (but are not limited to) such things as:

   • Special restaurants, Beauty/Spa Treatments
   • Optional activites such as casino gambling.
   • Group tours operated at ports of call.

The use of the term “premium services” here is a way of describing these types of services. The cruise
line may use a different term and may not understand if you ask, “is this a premium service”. Your best
rule of thumb is, “When in doubt, ASK”. Ask if there is an extra charge for the activity or service you
are considering while onboard.

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 9
Here are a few money saving ideas:

    • Gratuities (tips) are added to your final bill (which covers all other on-board purchases and
premium services as described above) at the end of a cruise. It may be a couple hundred
dollars. This fee is generally optional and can be removed at your request.
    • Many cruises offer soft drink vouchers at a reasonable expense and this is a great way to control
         beverage costs.
    • Premium on board services include such things as: special restaurants, casinos, art auctions,
cruise sponsored port tours, massage, etc. These are all optional activities and expenses that
you are can decide to use or not.

Also, I should note that there are no “activation” or other fees required to use the voucher (common
with most vouchers).

Types and Values of Cruise Vouchers

The New Cruise Voucher Types
Starting in October 2010 we are offering two new vouchers:

         Rainbow Plus
         Titanium Plus

The “Plus” vouchers will operate with different rules than our Standard vouchers (Platinum, Diamond
and Titanium). Some of the main advantages of the new Plus vouchers are:

    • The option to book “Premium Cruises” more frequently (every 180 days vs 365 days).
    • The option to book your first Plus voucher as soon as you would like regardless of the time
since you booked your last cruise. For example, if you booked a Standard Titanium last week
and get a Plus voucher this week you will be able to book immediately if you wish.
    • The option for friends to book two cabins on the same cruise (this does not include family).
    • Extended family members can book Plus vouchers on different cruises without concern of the
Premium booking restrictions of another extended family member interferring.

It is very important to understand the differences before bidding. Please see the infomration about this
under the Booking section of this ebook.

The Rainbow Promos Versus the Rainbow Plus Voucher
As a point of clarification, the Rainbow cruises that have been offered until this time have been
promotional offers, not vouchers. These promotional cruises are only available for booking by using
three Standard vouchers (one Platinum, one Diamond and one Titanium). This promotion will continue
for some time to come for the benefit of Standard voucher holders. However, this promotion can be
ended at any time. Also, it is very possbible that a new Rainbow (non-Plus voucher) will be
introduced in the future. These would operate within the booking rules for other Standard vouchers
and would be subject to the Premium cruise restrictions for Standard vouchers.

Understanding Voucher Values and Cruise Differences
We receive many questions about the “true” value of the vouchers and the reasons why a specific cruise
is assigned to a particular voucher type (or more than one voucher type).

The retail Value of the Vouchers is a legal requirement and reflects the average tariff/Brochure rate for
cruises within the category. One point that is often confusing to our clients is that these “brochure
rates” are often not what they see when surfing the internet. The Brochure or Tariff rate is the highest
rate the cruise can be sold at and then discounted prices may go up and down depending on popularity
and availability during the time between when the cruise is published and when it sets sails.

Keep in mind that each cruise will actually have a set of rates for each cruise. These different rates
reflect the different cabin types available for that cruise. This is why one cruise may be assigned to
more than one voucher category. Each category will offer that cruise with a cabin that best reflect the
value of that general category. So for example, Cruise A may be offered as a Diamond cruise with an
Oceanview cabin while also appearing in the Platinum category with an Inside Cabin.

Other factors that may affect prices are currency fluctuations between the Pound, Euro and Dollar,
seasonal price adjustments by the cruise lines, etc.

With all of these and additional things in mind, Cruise Voucher UK assigns each cruise to one or more
of our voucher types. Each voucher type is assigned a general values for the cruises in its category.
For example, at the time of this writing the general voucher values as posted on our website are (in U.S.
Dollars):

    • Platinum – $999
    • Diamond - $1,999
    • Titanium - $,2999
    • Rainbow - $5,999

(Note: these are promotional rates that are below actual retail value. They were instituted temporarily
following the launch of our new website in Sept 2010. Values will be adjusted to their non-promtional
levels sometime soon.)

When attempting to compare discount rates with Cruise Voucher general voucher values it is important
to keep in mind the fact that:

    • Cruise Vouchers are good two people while most other cruise rate quotes (from the cruise lines
or other agencies) are for a single person (and payment for double occupancy is required) and
    • Cruise Voucher, in order to do away with hidden costs, includes and pays on your behalf such
things as taxes, fuel surcharges and port fees. Very few others do this for you.

Monitoring Cruise Voucher Auctions

How to Find Currently Active Cruise Voucher Auctions
You might wonder if you have to check both the UK and the Australian eBay sites constantly in order
to see the vouchers that are currently up for auction. Here are a couple of things you should know that
will help you:

    • All of the UK listings automatically show up on the US and Canada eBay sites.
    • Every eBay site has an option to see all the listings on all other eBay sites in the category you
are viewing. Simply click “Worldwide” which you will find in the left hand column on eBay
         auction listing pages.
    • My eBay store, Best-Cheap-Cruises, lists all of the vouchers I have for auction on both the UK
         and Australian eBay sites.
    • My eBay “About Me” page has a sign up form for the mailing list I use to advise people of
voucher news and low bid opportunities.

Monitoring Available Cruises

Cruise Voucher Cruises Are Only Listed On Our Main Website
A common misconception is that once you have a voucher you can to a cruise line website like
Celebrity, Carnival, etc. and choose one of their cruises and then pay for it with the voucher. This is
not how it works. As you can tell this is a very unusual and special opportunity and not all cruises will
work within the financial framework of the vouchers.

The cruises you can choose from are those listed on our main website: www.cruisevoucher.co.uk.
There and only there can you find, choose and book your cruise voucher cruise.

Step-By-Step Guide to Viewing Available Cruises on Our Website
     1. Once you are on the website simply click on the “Cruises” button.
     2. You will then land on a page that lists the types of vouchers (Platinum, Diamond, Titanium and
        Rainbow).
     3. Click on the “Display” link next the voucher type you want to explore.
     4. You are now on a page that lists the various cruises available for that voucher type. Depending
on the number of cruises available at the moment for that voucher type there may be more than
one page of cruises. You will see a link to a second (or third) page if available.
     5. Once you see a cruise that you want more information about simply click on the “Read
        Complete Description” link.
     6. Now you are on the description page for that cruise. Here you will find:
        • The complete itinerary.
        • A photo of the ship.
        • A graphic that shows which vouchers have cabins on that cruise and the cabins types.
        • If the cruise is a Premium cruise (see below) it will tell you show this on the page.
        • Buttons for the different voucher types. You will click your voucher type button when you
want to check cabin availability or proceed to book this cruise.

Understanding Cruise Types
We now offer two distinct voucher types: the new “Plus” vouchers and the original vouchers, now
called “Standard”.

For the Standard vouchers there are not only different types of vouchers (Platinum, Diamond and
Titanium), there are also different cruise types. This becomes important when you want to book more
than one cruise per year with the Standard vouchers. Premium cruises may only be booked every 365
days with a Standard voucher. We will look at this more under Booking Limitations (below) but for
just be aware that cruises are divided into two groups – Premium and Non-Premium.

Definition of a Premium Cruises (for use with Standard Vouchers)
All Rainbow and Titanium cruises are designated as premium offers. Most Diamond and some
Platinum cruises are designated as Premium if they fit into the premium definition as set out in the
Terms and Conditions. That definition says: Premium offers are those, “Over 7 days (6 Nights),
popular cruises which includes all Alaskan, Transatlantic, European, and Australian cruises and all
premium cruise lines like Disney and Celebrity”.

Any cruise that does not fit the above criterion is designated as a Non-Premium or Standard cruise.
Each cruise details page (also called the Offer Page) on the main website will state clearly if the cruise
is a Premium cruise. If it is not designated as a Premium cruise you may assume it is a Non-Premium
(or Standard) cruise.

Note: The Rainbow promotion allows the booking of Rainbow cruises with three Standard vouchers
(one Platinum, one Diamond and one Titanium). Anyone booking a Rainbow promotion may not book
any other Cruise Voucher cruise for one year. They may book Plus vouchers following the Plus rules as
described in the Terms and Conditions and as will be explained under the Booking section below.

Plus Vouchers
Plus Vouchers may be used to book any cruise within their category (Rainbow or Titanium cruises) so
the Permium designation does not apply. Full details to follow in the Booking section below.

Other Things You Need to Know About Cruise Vouchers Work

Most Cruises Are Listed Well Into the Future
Although we are offering more “last minute offers” the majority of cruises are listed 10+ months in
advance.

Vouchers Are Good for Three Years
The number of cruises listed for each voucher type on the main website (www.cruisevoucher.co.uk)
varies significantly over time. But over the life of the voucher you will have hundreds of different
cruises to choose from. Cruise Vouchers are best for those who are flexible and patient.

The three year validity period applies to booking a cruise, not to when you take the cruise. So the
cruise you book may well depart well after the three years that the voucher is valid.

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 13
New Cruises Are Normally Added to the Website Every Week
Cruise listings are generally updated weekly. As noted above, the number of cruises available in each
voucher category varies from week to week. There are times when demand is high (many reservations
being made) and times when new listings are slow (often in the late summer, for example). But the
listings are normally updated weekly so there is always fresh offers coming along.

We Know You Want to Know When the Cruise You Want Will Be Listed, But...
It is our policy that we never promise any particular cruise, port, date, itinerary, etc. As you can see this
is a very special deal and we have to work hard to find specific cruises that will work within our
system. Since we do not work with all of the cruises of any one cruise line we cannot predict specific
cruises (ports, dates, etc.).

This means that any questions you have such as, “When will we list a new cruise
out of Australia (or the UK, or Southern CA, or....)?” cannot be answered!

There Is Not a Specific Day Each Week When New Cruises Are Added
There is no specific schedule or day for this updating beyond adding new offers weekly (normally). I
suggest looking Tuesday and Friday mid to late afternoon (London time) as a way of staying on top of
things without driving yourself too crazy. ;-)

You have three years to make your reservation, so you will have hundreds of cruises to chose from.

There Is No List to Join That Will Notified You When New Cruises Are Added
People have asked if we have an email notification list to let them know when new cruises are added.
The answer is no, we do not offer any such notification service. Please watch the website for updates.

There Are No Waiting Lists For Cruises
Another frequent question is if there is a waiting list for specific cruises or types of cruises. As a matter
of fairness to all of clients we do not offer any special waiting lists or assistance in booking specific
cruises.

A Special Note To Our Australian Friends
As noted above we do not promise specific cruises, ports, etc. The only real exception to this rule is for
our friends Down Under. Cruise Voucher has become very popular in Australia. So we are constantly
seeking to add more cruises there. To date all of our AU cruises have departed from Sydney so it
would be best to assume that this pattern will continue for the time being. We promise to keep our
Aussie friends cruising.

You Will Not Have to Set Through Any Kind of Sales Presentation
People often think that the low cost of the vouchers is because there will be some sort of time-share or
other sales presentation that they have to sit through to use the voucher. Happily this is not the case.
All you have to do is enjoy the cruise.

Gold Vouchers
Gold vouchers were the first vouchers offered by Dreamvoucher and then taken over by Cruise
Voucher UK. They are no longer being sold and all Gold vouchers will expire as of the end of 2010.

Voucher Upgrades
We are often asked if vouchers can be combined to take a better cruise. At this time the only options
we have is that two Platinum vouchers can be used for one Diamond cruise.

Occasionally we may have promotions that allow combinations. For example, a Rainbow cruise can be
booked by combing three Standard vouchers (one Platinum, one Diamond and one Titanium).

With the addition of the Plus vouchers we are naturally getting many questions about upgrading or
combining Standard vouchers in order to obtain a Plus voucher. This is not possbile. No upgrade or
trade-up is available for this purpose.

Using Higher Value Vouchers for Lesser Value Cruises
It is always acceptable to use a higher voucher for a lower value cruise. For example, you can use a
Titanium voucher to book a Diamond (or a Platinum) cruise and a Diamond voucher can be used to
book a Platinum cruise. The exception to this is no other voucher can be used to book a gold offer as
these are operated by us for what was originally dreamvoucher. Likewise Plus vouchers may be used
for any lower value voucher.

Don't Wait Until You Find a Cruise You Want Before Getting Your Voucher
You must have received the voucher by email before you can reserve a cruise. We do not allow you to
win and then automatically reserve a cruise once the voucher is paid for. You must have the voucher in
hand. Vouchers are normally emailed to you three days after payment is made.

Some people want to wait and bid on a voucher when they see a cruise they want. I strongly suggest
you not do this. By the time you receive the voucher that cruise might be gone. This is a policy based
on fairness to all of those who have already bid and waited for their vouchers.

Why the Cruise Lines Cannot Answer Any of Your Questions About Cruise Voucher
Cruise Direct UK is the parent company of Cruise Voucher UK. All of our booking is done through
Cruise Direct. Cruise Direct is a licensed agency and operator of Group travel and tours. You will book
your reservation online on our main website and then we will enter into a contract to supply
accommodation as part of our (or our travel Partners) Group holdings. So the cruise lines have no
direct contact whatsoever with the voucher process. Thus were you to call a cruise line and ask them
about booking your voucher or about the validity of the voucher they would have absolutely no idea
what you are talking about. Also, as the operator or agent for the group, all upgrades, passenger
additions and transfers must be done through Cruise Direct UK (although in most cases the charge will
be made by the cruise line).

The Primary Cruise Lines Cruise Voucher Uses
Most of our cruises are offered by Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival, Norwegian and Louis cruise
lines. We hope to add other cruise lines in the future.

Voucher Delivery and ID Numbers

Voucher Delivery By Email
Your voucher will be emailed to you. Usually this will happen on the third day after you have paid for
your voucher (counting weekdays only).

Verifying Your Email Address and “Whitelisting” the Cruise Voucher Emails
It is very important that you make sure that the email address in your eBay account is accurate. It is
also very important that you “whitelist” the email address support@cruisedirectuk.com so that the
email with the voucher does not wind up in your junk, spam or bulk mail folder. Whitelisting is
generally as simple as adding this email address to your contacts.

Your Voucher Will Be a PDF Document
Your voucher will arrive as a PDF attachment to the email from support@cruisedirectuk.com. Most
computers already have a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat installed. If you are not certain that your
computer does have such a program you can simply double click on the attachment and see if there is
already a program associated with PDF files. If no such program is offered as a default to open the
PDV simply go Google and search on “Adobe Acrobat download”. The first result of the search should
take you directly to the download page where you can then download and install this free program.

Requesting a Paper Copy of Your Voucher
Once you have received your voucher by email you may request that a paper copy be sent to you. This
request should be made to the Cruise Voucher support desk (support@cruisedirectuk.com).

Generally a paper copy is only necessary if you are giving the voucher as a gift, incentive or reward.
Hard copies will be sent by common air and may take an additional two to three weeks for delivery
unless you request and pay for expedited delivery.

Voucher ID Number
The voucher number is the crucial thing you will need when you go to book a cruise. Some people are
confused since we started sending the vouchers our as PDF documents in the email because it says in
the text that the voucher ID number is on the "back" of the document. Well the PDF doesn't have a
back! No problem, I will sort this out for you.

First, what are you looking for? Each voucher has a unique ID number. It begins with a letter followed
by six numbers. The letter indicates which type of voucher it is. So the letter is "T" for Titanium, "D"
for Diamond and "P" for Platinum. Here are a couple of example numbers so that you can see what
they look like: T913055, D592233, P879687.

Where can you find the number of your voucher? While the PDF does not have a back itself, both the
front and back of your voucher have been included in your PDF. In other words you have a two page
PDF file -- one page being the front and the other the back.

The first page you see when you open the PDF starts like this:

Voucher Number – D888888 <<Your voucher number is right at the top of the document.
Voucher Holder Name
Street Address
City, State, Mailing Code and Country
Expiration Date 16th July 2013

Also, you will now be able to see that the name of your voucher PDF document is the voucher number
itself. For example, the file name for the sample above would be: D888888.pdf

Voucher Transfers and Gifts
There are two ways to have your voucher put in another person's name.

At the Time of Purchase
One of the reasons we delay in emailing your voucher for three days is to allow you to make any
changes such as whose name will be on the voucher. Simply email the seller and give them the name
that should appear on the voucher. When you contact the seller it is best to give them not only the
name of the person, but also their mailing (physical) address and their email address if at all possible.
This helps avoid booking conflicts in the future. However, if you want to surprise the person with the
gift and therefore do not want the email to go directly to them, do not give the seller the email of that
person. There is no cost for making these changes at the time of sale.

After You Have Received Your Voucher
You might decide to give your voucher to someone later on. The original expiration date will be kept
the same with any voucher transfer or sale. Vouchers with at least six months left before they expire
can be transferred. Those with less than six months left before they expire cannot be transferred.

To start the transfer process send an email to david@cruisedirectuk.com stating your desire to transfer
the voucher. We will then send you an email form to fill out with the information we need to complete
the transfer. The fee for a transfer is U$16 ($25 starting Jan.1, 2011). This fee covers the email
delivery of the new voucher. Postal delivery is available for an additonal fee of $30.

An Important Note About Leaving Feedback on eBay for Cruise Voucher Sellers

Unfortunately You Cannot Wait Until You Take Your Cruise to Leave Feedback
Many people have said that they look forward to leaving feedback after they have taken the cruise.
Unfortunately eBay limits the time for giving a feedback. If you haven't done left feedback for your
seller within a month or so you won't be able to. Since most of our cruises are 10+ months in the future
no one ever has the chance to give feedbacks about their cruise. For this we depend on our
testimonials. You can see them on the main website (www.cruisevoucher.co.uk).

Feedback is extremely important to eBay sellers. If you are happy with the way your seller has handled
the sale and communicated with you please be sure to leave feedback on this basis. (And, of course, if
you are unhappy with anything please contact us first and give us the opportunity to make things right!)

                                   All About Booking and Travel

A Word About Terminology
You may have already noticed that the terms used to describe the different types of cruises and
vouchers can be a little confusing. Before going into the details about booking take a moment to
review the terms we are using.

Types of Vouchers: Standard vouchers: Platinum, Diamond and Titanium
                           Plus vouchers: Titanium+ and Rainbow+
Types of Cruises: Premium cruises and Non-premium (or “standard” or “normal”) cruises

So you bid on a type of voucher (Platinum, Diamond, Titanium, Titanium+ or Rainbow+). Then you
look on the website for the cruises available in that category (Platinum, Diamond, Titanium or
Rainbow).

If you hold a Standard (Non-Plus) voucher you look in your category and book according to the rules
for Standard vouchers.

If you hold a Plus voucher (Titanium+ or Rainbow+) you look in the same Titanium and Rainbow
categories of cruises, but book according to the Plus rules.

Booking Limitations – The Standard Vouchers
The Terms and Conditions have a number of restrictions regarding booking that are very important for
you to understand before booking your cruise.

First Understand the Purpose of the Limitations for the Standard Vouchers
Cruise Vouchers are intended for the individual, couple or family that likes to a cruise occasionally. In
the past, before instituting some of these restrictions, many of our clients were left waiting on the dock
for a cruise because groups and individuals purchased and booked large numbers of the available
cruises. Our intention is not to penalize people who love to cruise, but to create an even playing field
for all of our clients.

No Group Cruises with Standard Vouchers
The rules regarding group cruises/multiple voucher bookings on one cruise has been strengthened and
simplified to simply prohibit all multiple voucher bookings on one cruise by anyone – family members
(household or extended), friends or any organized groups whatsoever.

Please be aware that any effort to circumvent these rules can result in the cancelation of your
cruise(s).

If you are interested in group travel with your family or friends your best bet is to contact Cruise
Voucher UK's parent company, Cruise Direct UK, which specializes in booking group cruises.

Time Between Bookings with Standard Vouchers – Non Premium Cruises
Once you have booked any cruise using any voucher you must wait 30 days before booking any
additional standard, non-premium cruises with a cruise voucher. The 30 day period begins the day you
book your offer with Cruise Voucher.

Time Between Bookings with Standard Vouchers – Premium Cruises
The wait period between the booking of Premium cruises is 365 days (one year). As above, the waiting
period begins the day you book your cruise.

So under these rules a Standard voucher holder can book one Premium a year and then one non-
Premium (or Standard) cruise every 30 days.

Definition of a Premium Cruise
Although this was given above, it might be helpful to have the definition of a Premium voucher
repeated here:

All Rainbow and Titanium cruises are premium offers. Most Diamond and some Platinum cruises are
designated as Premium if they fit into the premium definition as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
That definition says: Premium offers are those, “Over 7 days (6 Nights), popular cruises which
includes all Alaskan, Transatlantic, European, and Australian cruises and all premium cruise lines like
Disney and Celebrity”.

Any cruise that does not fit the above criterion is designated as a Non-Premium or Standard cruise.
Each cruise detail page (also called the Offer Page) on the main website will state clearly if the cruise is
a Premium cruise. If it is not designated as a Premium cruise you may assume it is a Non-Premium (or
Standard) cruise.

Note: The Rainbow promotion allows the booking of Rainbow cruises with three Standard vouchers
(one Platinum, one Diamond and one Titanium). Anyone booking a Rainbow promotion may not book
any Cruise Voucher cruises (Standard or Premium) for one year. They may, however, book Plus
vouchers following the Plus rules as described in the Terms and Conditions and as will be explained
under the Booking section below.

Booking Rules – The Plus Vouchers
The new Plus vouchers have been created to answer the many requests we get for more frequent and
flexible bookings. So these Plus vouchers operate with a different, and we hope much simpler, set of
rules. Here are the Plus voucher rules:

1. With the new + (Plus) vouchers holders can book two premium cruises a year regardless of voucher
type. No more Premium restrictions - you can simply book one cruise offer every 180 days.

2. Once your first Plus voucher has been purchased you may book a new offer immediately, regardless
of when last Premium/Rainbow was booked.

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 19
3. Then you may book another Premium or Rainbow 180 days from the day your new Plus was
booked. This can be done using either a Plus or a Standard voucher.

4. Every time a Standard voucher is used after this, then a Plus voucher must be used if booking again
after 180 days but before the standard 365 days.

5. We are also removing the one offer per family/household per annum rule from the Plus vouchers
and replacing it with:
   • Friends and family are free to use Titanium+ and Rainbow+ vouchers without the concern of
another family member having booked a Premium cruise within the last 365 days.
       • The only limits are no more then one cabin on the same ship per family.
       • And friends can not group book more then two cabins on the same cruise.
   • For these rules to apply all these cruises must be booked using Plus vouchers.

Remember that a Rainbow rule of no other bookings for 365 days still applies except for being able to
book a Titanium Plus after 180 days.

Requesting Specific Cabins or Areas of the Ship Is Not Possibile (Standard or Plus)
As with the Standard vouchers, all cabins are assigned on a group travel basis by Cruise Direct UK.
Therefore no special requests for specific cabins or areas of the ship can be accommodated.

Booking Your Reservation

Before Booking Your Cruise
Be sure you are familiar with the Booking Limitations (above) and the Terms and Conditions shown on
our website before you start booking to be certain that you are eligible to book this cruise at this time
with your voucher type (Standard or Plus).

You need to have your cruise voucher ID number ready in order to make the reservation (see Voucher
ID Number above).

Remember, the name you use to book your cruise must be the same as the name on the voucher
which must also match your identification documents such as your passport.

How to Find the Booking Form for the Cruise You Are Interested In
Reservations are made through a form on our website (www.cruisevoucher.co.uk), not with the
individual cruise line.

    1) Once you are on the website simply click on the “Cruises” button (side) or tab (top).
    2) You will then land on a page that lists the types of vouchers (Platinum, Diamond, Titanium,
       Titanium Plus and Rainbow Plus).
    3) Click on the “Display” link next the voucher type you want to explore.
    4) You are now on a page that lists the various cruises available for that voucher type. Depending

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 20
on the number of cruises available at the moment for that voucher type there may be more than
one page of cruises. You will see a link to a second (or third) page if available.
    5) Once you see a cruise that you want more information about simply click on the “Read
       Complete Description” link.
    6) Now you are on the description page for that cruise. Here you will find:
           • The date of the cruise (in the title).
           • The complete itinerary showing the ports you will visit.
           • A photo of the ship.
           • A graphic that shows which vouchers have cabins on that cruise and the cabins types.
           • If the cruise is a Premium cruise it will tell you show this on the page (applies only if
you are using a Standard voucher).
           • Buttons for the different voucher types (at the bottom of the page).

Simply click your voucher type button when you want to check cabin availability or proceed to book
this cruise. If there are cabins available for your voucher type on that cruise you will be taken directly
to the booking page (no sign-in required).

Once you are on the booking page a temporary hold (25 minutes) is placed on the cabin you are
interested in (so others will not be able to book it while you are filling out the form).

Important Booking Issues

If You Don't Know the Name of the Second Traveler When You Book
It is OK if you do not know the name of your traveling companion when you make your reservation.
However, be very careful NOT to leave the second person field on the booking form blank and do
not put anything like “TBA” for the second (or first) person. You must put some name in there in
order to reserve the second place in the cabin. Otherwise you will be booked as a solo traveler and will
either not be able to add a second person later (depending on the time left before the cruise) or will
have to pay the cruise line's full fare for the second person.

You will be able to change the name of the second person later on. It is best if this can be done six
months or so before the cruise date. The closer to the date it gets the more restrictions you will run into
from the cruise lines (it varies from cruise line to cruise line).

Cruise Voucher charges a $100 administrative fee for such changes. There may be additional charges
that you must pay to the cruise line.

Traveling Alone
Cruise Vouchers are a great option for the solo cruiser – you no longer have to pay the second person
fee! Simply leave the field for the second person blank on the booking form. However, if there is any
chance that you may decide to take someone later do not leave that field blank. As mentioned
above, once you have signed up as a solo traveler you may not be able add another person later or if
you can you will have to pay the full fare as set by the cruise line for that person. Simply put any name
(family member, friend, etc.) in for now and then you can add someone later or just drop the second
name.

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 21
As mentioned above, you will be able to change (or drop) the name of the second person later on. It is

restrictions you will run into from the cruise lines (it varies from cruise line to cruise line).

Cruise Voucher charges a $100 administrative fee for such changes. There may be additional charges
that you must pay to the cruise line.

Age Restrictions
All of the cruise lines, except Carnival, require that at least one person in each cabin be age 21 or older.
Carnival requires that at least one person be age 25 or older (in fact Carnival wants all children under
21 in the same cabin as their parents). All of the cruise lines are concerned that there is a responsible
adult (age 21 - or 25 for Carnival) to supervise anyone under that age.

After You Book Your Cruise – The Reservation Process

Two to Three Weeks for Confirmation
Once your request is submitted on the website the reservations are handled through Cruise Voucher
UK's parent company's normal group booking process. You will receive a cruise confirmation email in
two to three weeks after booking your cruise online. At that time you can think about booking your
transportation to the cruise (if necessary), upgrading your cabin and so on.

Upgrading Your Cabin
Once your cruise reservation is confirmed you will have the opportunity to upgrade your cabin.
Upgrades are controlled by the cruise lines. All upgrades are based on availability and are charged
according to the fees set by the cruise lines.

Cabins for Those with Physical Limitations
These would only be available as an upgrade that you would have to pay for. The cost will vary by
cruise line and cruise. And this is subject to availability of course.

Adding Children (or Others) to Your Cabin
The Cruise Vouchers are good for two adults or one adult and one child. When parents want to take
their children along things get a bit more complicated and, of course, a bit (or a lot) more expensive.

First, who is considered a child? In general, no one under the age of 21 is allowed to book passage on a
cruise line alone. In fact, Carnival raises that age limit to 25! So anyone under the age of 21 (or 25 on
Carnival) must be accompanied by an adult.

Next, what about cabin arrangements? Carnival is the strictest once again in wanting any passenger
under the age of 25 to be in the same cabin as someone over the age of 25. In general, all of the cruise
lines will want the children in the same cabin as a parent or guardian, but their may be more flexibility
for older children with some of the other lines.

This ebook is updated frequently. Get the latest version here: www.best-cheap-cruises.com/How_Cruise_Vouchers_Work.pdf 22
What all of this means is that you may need to upgrade your cabin so that it is large enough to
accommodate your family. With a larger family (more than two children) you may need to upgrade to a
suite (or possibly add a second cabin). Naturally, if you have one or two very young children you
might not need the larger cabin at all.

The costs of adding extra passengers or upgrading your cabin are controlled by the cruise lines and
vary by cruise line, the specific cruise and the cabin type(s) involved. Therefore we cannot give you a
general number about such costs.

In general we can say that the cost of adding children is generally not extreme. Usually they can be
added for a couple hundred dollars (US) each. The real expense will come in determining if you need a
larger cabin or even a second cabin.

What about buying a second voucher to cover these costs? As I mentioned above this is prohibited
under the Terms and Conditions for both Standard and Plus vouchers. What I can suggest is that if you
start with a Titanium (Standard) or any Plus voucher, which typically comes with a better cabin. Your
upgrade, should you need one, will likely be less since you are starting with a better cabin. (Note:
Please take the word “typically” in the preceeding line to heart. For example some Rainbow cruises
have inside cabins because of the length, uniqueness and high brochure rate for that cruise.)

A smart thing to do before you book a specific cruise (or even before buying a voucher) is to go to the
websites of some of the major cruise lines and check out their current policies and prices for both
upgrading cabins and adding passengers/children on a couple of different types of cruises that might
interest you. That way you can avoid a bad surprise down the line.

Changing or Canceling Your Cruise
Once you submit your booking form online you have two weeks (by law in most countries) to change
your mind and cancel the booking. As noted above, once this two week period has passed you will be
sent a confirmation of your reservation.

Making changes to, and even canceling, your cruise after this period is possible. Each cruise line has
its own rules about timing and costs. Your best policy is not to wait too long to make changes. The
closer you are to the cruise date the more difficult (and expensive) this becomes. Any changes require
an administrative fee ($50-$100) to be paid to Cruise Direct UK plus any fees charged by the cruise
line.

If you wait too long and cannot cancel your cruise it might be possible for you to transfer it to another
person (this is highly regulated by governments and the cruise lines as a security measure). Please
contact the support staff in the London office to see what is possible at given the amount of time left
before your cruise.

Remember that according to the Cruise Voucher UK Terms and Conditions once you book and are
confirmed on a cruise there are no refunds for cancellations. It may be possible in some cases to use
your voucher again after a cancellation, but often it is not and you will lose the voucher if you cancel.

Cruise Line Log In Information
Approximately two months prior to your sailing date (when the parent company – Cruise Direct UK
Ltd. has closed the group bookings and allocated cabins for that cruise) you will receive the log in
information with the cruise line to complete the security process with them, print needed documents,
book excursions and so on.

Other Booking and Travel Issues

Blackout Date Issues
While there are no blackout dates per se, we also do not guarantee any cruises during any of the
common “black out” periods just as we do not guarantee any particular cruises, dates, ports, etc. It
simply depends on the deals we are able to work out to make a cruise work for us and our clients.

Why Cruises Are Still Listed Even if it Shows No Cabins Available?
Our new webstie has new software that automatically removes offers that have no cabins in any
categories for 3 days. This means if an offer has availability in Diamond but not in titanium it will still
appear until 72 hours after all cabins in all categories are exhausted. As many people have different
types of vouchers we have found it is in their favor to see if a cruise they want is available with a
different voucher rathe then having to check each category.

Passports
On most cruises you will be visiting more than one country. The safest course is to assume that you
need a current passport with at least six months of validity left. Be sure that the name on the voucher,
cruise reservation and your passport are all the same.

Visas
We have clients from dozens of countries all over the world who will be traveling to scores of countries
allover the world, so it is impossible for us to advise everyone about the visas they will need when
traveling The best advice we can give you about the visas you need is this:

As you consider which trip to select, look at the ports you will be visiting. Make a list of those
countries as you may may need visas for them. In addition, consider your travel to and from the
departure and arrival port(s) (they may be the same or they may be different). You may need visas for
this country (or those countries) as well, so add them to your list. Then check with agencies that
monitor travel for your country (for example, in the United States it is the State Department). It is
likely that the agency website will have a list of visa requirements for all other countries. When you
have determined which countries you will need visas for you can then contact the consulates of those
countries for the process you need to start to get there visas. Many countries allow cruising visitors to
purchase a temporary visa at the port, but make certain this is possible – do not assume that this is the
case or you may not be able to leave the ship for some ports.

Important: If you live in a country that has travel restrictions internally, or which is often subject to
travel restrictions by other countries, be sure to find out BEFORE you book your cruise if you will be
able to get the visas you will need.

                           Example Itineraries from Past Cruises

Sample Itineraries
While we carefully refrain from guaranteeing a particular cruise or port or date, what we can guarantee
is that we are always searching for great deals for you. The last 10 pages or so of this document are a
listing of “Sample Itineraries”. These are just some of the cruises that we have offered in the past year
or so. This will give you a very good idea of the kinds of cruises you can expect to see in the future.

Although we will not guarantee a particular port or date or cruise we can say that certain major ports
and destinations will certainly show up time and again. Miami is a great example of this and so is
Sydney. (I should also note here that as our popularity in Australia has increases we will continue to
seek more and more cruises for those “down under”.)

Keep In Mind
This is just a sampling of some of the cruise itineraries that voucher holders have had to choose from in
recent months. As you browse the list below please keep the following points in mind:
     • This is not all of the cruises that we have or will offer, just a sampling.
     • This is a mixture of all the different types of cruises.
     • We do not expect to add any Hawaiian cruises at this time.
     • We occasionally offer Disney cruises, but it would not be wise to buy a voucher with only a
Disney cruise in mind. When they do show up they are extremely popular and may last only a
day or two on the website before being filled.
     • We do expect to add more Mediterranean and Australian cruises.
