She currently works for the Highland Council as the Mairi Mhor Gaelic Song Fellow, promoting Gaelic song and language throughout the communities of the north of Scotland. As part of her role she organises and manages the young, all girl Gaelic harmony group "Fionnar" who have competed successfully at the Pan Celtic Festival and the Welsh International Eisteddfod. Fiona and her husband, Donald, are also members of Inverness Gaelic Choir. Her recordings to date include, "Duan Nollaig" (2007) on Greentrax, "Orain nan Rosach" (2006), "Seinn o ho ro Seinn" (2003) and "Astair" (2000). She features on Scottish television and radio. Fiona also hosts the "Kitchen Ceilidh" on Scottish Internet Radio. Her most recent recording, Duan Nollaig has received rave reviews including Scotland on Sunday newspaper. It is a collection of 35 Gaelic Christmas songs and carols and was produced by well known music theatre director and composer, Irvin Duguid. Fiona has just released a book containing 16 of the Songs and Carols (December 2008).
