The team is currently managed by former Chicago Cubs catcher Jody Davis. Richie Zisk oversees all hitting duties. Bill Papierniak took over as general manager of the Cubs in 2004 and Derek Ingram is the radio play-byplay announcer and TV host for the Cubs. The Cubs have won four Florida State League championships, in 1995, 2000, 2004 (cochamps with the Tampa Yankees) and are the current ranking 2008 FSL Champions. Their fourth FSL League Championship came over the Fort Myers Miracle, 3-1 in a five games series. Tony Thomas was the series MVP.

The Daytona Cubs are a minor league baseball team based in Daytona Beach, Florida. The team plays in the Florida State League, and is the High-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs major league club. The team plays at Jackie Robinson Ballpark; opened in 1914, the park seats 5,100 fans.
