Filley Bank joins FSB Family
   Submitted by First State Bank
Filley Bank, which has served its
southeastern Nebraska host com-
munity since 1936, joined the First
State Bank family September 18.
The merger, which had been in
the works since March, provides
Filley customers with enhanced
banking services and options for
years to come.
    David Norton, president of the
Filley branch, said the merger was
the result of his commitment to con-
tinue the bank’s longstanding dedi-
cation to Filley and its citizens. As
the lone stockholder in Filley Bank,
with no junior officers or children
interested in banking administra-
tion, he wanted to ensure the bank’s
preservation. Serving customers at the Filley branch are David Norton, Betty

Ship Like a Pro-gift packing tips Parthenon celebrates seven years in Lincoln
    • Choose your box - Select a durable box that is just big enough to fit
your items and about two inches of packing material
    • Seal it up - Close up flaps and reinforce seams with good packing tape.
Secure the bottom and top of the box with extra tape.
    • Label properly - Make sure recipient and sender addresses are
complete, correct and legible on the label.
    • Protect Breakables - Consider double-boxing fragile items. Securely
pack items in individual boxes and place in a larger box, making sure to
fill the sparc with packing material. Marking the outside of the box
“Fragile” is not a substitute for proper packaging.
