The School District of Greenville County will hold a series of public meetings as required by Title I law to provide information to specific audiences about the development of and participation in the 2009-2010 Greenville County Districtwide Title I Plan. Also to be discussed at these meetings will be the development of the 2009-2010 Title I Stimulus Funds Plan. Interested parties should direct questions to Dr. Susan Achilles, Director of Federal Programs, at 864-355-3197, The School District of Greenville County. To develop the 2009-10 Districtwide Title I Plan in collaboration with parents and interested community stakeholders, District officials will host a public meeting to provide information and to seek input about Title I eligibility, use of funds for 09-10 Title I services, and student support services. District officials will review current programs and services and will solicit public input for any plan revisions for 2009-10. Discussion will also include Title I Parent Involvement Policy and School-Parent Compact. Two additional public meetings will focus on the provision of Title I services to eligible state licensed “Neglected and Delinquent” programs and to eligible “private schools.” Areas to be discussed at these meetings include the items referenced previously, the eligibility process, participation rights, approved student and academic services, and income verification processes.
