Mission Statement

Our goal of Fashival is to provide you an excellent opportunity to become a professional model, or stars in the performing industry.

Application deadline
Application for the Garfield Productions Fashival 2008 will be accepted until July 26, 2008 by email or at the address mentioned below by
delivery. Forms will only be accepted once delivered to the following addresses:

Who can participate…
16-25 years old Female only, who has passion to become runway, photo, commercial model, or in performing industry (We have no height or
weight requirements)

    Become runway model of Charity Fashion Show with Local Fashion Designer
    Become runway model of “Fashion Show 2008” (same day)
    Opportunity to participate in major local fashion events
    Complimentary photography shoot with local professional photographer
    Opportunity to become photo model of a local chain fashion clothing company
    A talent contract with lots of other modeling / performing jobs and opportunities
    Opportunity to become the spokesperson of the largest organic greenhouse in North America

Trainings
Complementary professional training section will be provided by a professional model, and a model trainer in Vancouver
Complementary professional beauty seminar will be provided by the professional make-up artists in Vancouver

Trainings and Rehearsals (August 4, 7, 11, 21, 24, 2008)
All trainings and rehearsals will take place in Summer Night Market, 12631 Vulcan Way, Richmond

Final (Saturday, August 30, 2008 7:30pm) & Fashion Show (Sunday, August 31, 2008 7:30pm) @ Summer Night Market
Models are selected based on: (in no particular order)
1) Presentation of his/her own choice of causal wear, swim wear, and formal wear; 2) Introduction/Presentation of Self; 3) Posture and
Confidence; 4) Physique; 5) Stage Presence; 6) Chit chat Q&A; 7) Substance of Response to Question; 8) Articulation and diction of
Response; 9) Originality/Spontaneous.

Rules and Regulations
1. The applicant must agree to abide by all rules as changed from time to time by the organizer.
2. The applicant will have to participate in a disciplined and diligent manner throughout the training program as per the schedule that will
    given to them, and participate in all the rehearsals.
3. The organizers are not responsible if sponsors do not make good the prizes promised by them.
4. The organizers are not responsible for any loss or physical injury that occurs to the applicant on account of their participation in the
    contest. The applicant will participate at her own risk and will have no claim against Garfield Productions Ltd.
5. Incorrect information will result in disqualification, whether discovered prior to, during or after the finals.
6. Only the applicant will be allowed inside the designated venue of the preliminaries.
7. Schedule of events and qualification rounds are subject to change at the discretion of the organizers.
8. In the event of any dispute, the organizer has the right to make decision which is final and binding on the applicant.

Application Details
Before submitting your application, the applicants must study and accept the rules and regulations of the contest. Please submit:
1) Application form together with signed waiver; 2) Two photos with 1 headshot and 1 full body shot; 3) $20 application fee. Please note that
application fee is to cover the expenses on providing workshops and promotions. Any profit generated from this event will be donated to local
non-profit organizations.
