VA will offer a Basic class and an Advanced class this year. The classes will run concurrently and you can choose which class to attend.
THE BASIC CLASS is designed for mortgage company employees who have not originated VA loans or employees who want a refresher course on VA loans. The class will cover eligibility, basic underwriting, allowable fees and loan assumptions and WebLGY. THE ADVANCED CLASS is designed for mortgage company employees who regularly originate and underwrite VA loans. The class will cover eligibility (including restoration of entitlement and “bonus entitlement”), advanced underwriting concepts, loan analysis, compensating factors, quality review of closed loans and loan assumptions. See printed agenda. Please email Construction and Valuation questions prior to the training classes. A Construction and Valuation representative will review the questions in advance.
