Supporting the principles of sustainable developments
Energy efficient and environmentally friendly design features are
routinely incorporated into Giffels projects. Having constructed the
first LEED® Silver certified commercial office building in Toronto, and
several other LEED registered facilities since, Giffels is a leader in
setting the standards for the industry. LEED (Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design) buildings have now become the green
standard in the industry as owners and tenants are recognizing
the need to build and maintain efficient sustainable buildings. A
LEED-designed building fosters sustainability by lowering operating

reducing the negative impact on the environment. The savings
