CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL PARENT BULLETIN PLEASANT HILL, CALIFORNIA
! VOLUME I NUMBER 34
Dear School Families, Auction 2009 “Year of Blessings” was an outstanding event this past Saturday night with close to 350 people sharing the spirit of philanthropy that will benefit our Parish School, Religious Education, and Youth Ministry Programs. I know that I speak for all of us when I thank our new Auction Chairs, Rob and Kasey Curran, along with all of the other committee chairpersons for their organization of this annual event. It takes a talented and dedicated work force to pull off such an amazing event! Everyone involved has worked together for the past nine months and shared their creativity in the true spirit of service to our community. We thank all of you for your generosity in soliciting, making, and collecting donations, as well as purchasing items at the auction. Working together, the children of our parish will benefit from your gifts of time, talent and treasure! We are excited to report that the Fund a Need portion of the evening raised approximately $ 17,000 to begin the outdoor classroom/amphitheatre for our school. While the final numbers are not in yet, it was indeed another remarkable success. We are indeed a blessed community! The spirit of community will continue in two weeks with our Parish Festival. Please read the notices below about needs and requests for our upcoming Festival weekend.
