					   AP Outside Reading Project

Part of AP Lit is the ability to quickly come up with a book title when provided a theme or literary device.
For instance, you may be asked for a work with a scene of violence, and you may come up with The Great
Gatsby’s multiple deaths at the end of the book, or the violence of the bullfight in The Sun Also Rises. Of
course, in order to respond to this, you will need to have a list of literary quality books you have read.
These readings and projects allow you to build your internal library. It will also limit the number of novels
we read “as a class” for the rest of the year.

There is also an extra credit/extra grade opportunity here for those who finish their book early.
