We apologize for the confusion regarding the minimum age for the Godly Play Sunday School Class, which has been 4 years of age - though listed as "PreK." The Children's Ministry Team discussed this at our planning meeting on Oct. 17th. Due to the number of eager, young Sunday School students and the current lack of offerings for 3 year olds at 9:45 a.m., The Godly Play class is now open to 3-year-olds. Also, as a result… A Subcommittee is forming to explore and assess the spiritual formation opportunities and needs for our children: This group will be an extension of the Children’s Ministry Team and meet over the next two months to discern possible changes and/or additions to our offerings for children on Sunday mornings and perhaps Wednesday evenings. If you would like to be a part of this conversation, please contact Pastor Lisa or Courtney McCreesh. Celebration Luncheon, November 14 th immediately after worship. The United Methodist Women want to thank EVERYONE who supported us with the flea market. To date, we’ve collected over $2,200. Our goal, however, was to collect $3,000 so each of our organizations (Adult Day Center, ALIVE, Community Lodgings, Northern Virginia Training Center, Office on Women and Rising Hope – United Methodist Mission Church) can receive a $500 donation! It’s not too late to help us reach our goal. UMW is still accepting donations!! Please see Rita Newbegin with any questions or to contribute.
