Test Article: OS&AS 14 oz Coffee Mug

Other test materials: Shiner Bock longneck (12 oz)
Since I do not drink coffee I wasn't really sure why I bought the
coffee mug other than loyalty to the OS&AS...plus I felt sorry for
John and wanted to make him feel better about all of the merchan-
dise he bought for the Ship's Store.
Then I realized the convenient relative sizes of the mug and the
cold adult beverage in my fridge. Sure enough the contents of a
Shiner Bock longneck fit nicely into the mug with a comfortable
additional safety margin to prevent spillage even after several test
runs. The ceramic mass of the mug helps to maintain the beverage
at a pleasant temperature throughout the test procedure.
A second test protocol was undertaken in which the mug was pre-
conditioned by storing it in the freezer compartment overnight.
Upon addition of the liquid test medium a delightful experience
ensued during which the beverage was exquisitely chilled for the
duration of the test.
Overall rating: 4.0 This product has my strongest unqualified rec-
