Communication Management includes:
Internal Project Communication – This is how you report and

 How often you meet

 Status reporting

 Clear roles definition

 Who makes decisions

External Communication – You must engage OIT

Communications plan to ensure the “customer” is aware
and prepared for the new functionality.
                                                          4
An Internal Communication Plan
An internal communication plan is a document that provides:
 Procedures that cover the collection and filing structure, details what
methods will be used to gather and store various types of project
information, and cover collecting and disseminating updates and
     corrections.
 Distribution structure that reflects to whom information will flow, what
mode (report, meeting, etc.) will be used and who is responsible to
produce and review. Also, what these people should do with the
     information (cascade, hold, decision, etc.)
 Description of the information to be distributed
 Schedule when each type of communication is produced
 Methods for accessing information between scheduled
     communications
 Method for updating and refining the communication plan as project
     progresses.

                                                                           5
