Announcement
Location: The camp will be held on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID
Dates: The camp begins on Wednesday morning, June 24, and will run through Saturday,
June 27. The first seminar will be at 08:30 on Wednesday. There will four seminars a day at
8:30, 10:30, 1:30, and 3:30 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday we will have the two
morning seminars and testing will start at 1:30. A posting of all of the seminars will be
provided by May 1, 200
Camp Fees: Camp fees are $25.00 per day. Two or more days are required for a free t-shit.
Fees must be paid prior to attending any seminar.

Housing: You have choices: 1) on campus and 2) off campus.
On Campus: We have made arrangements for rooms on campus in the new
Rendezvous Center ( http://www.isu.edu/rendezvous/housing.shtml) in the center of campus.
Rooms are $15.00 per night per person with 3 to 4 to a suite that shares a bath and common
room. There is a one time $5.00 fee for linen. We have made arrangements for participants
to be able to get room for two days before and two days after the camp.
You need to get on the room list by March 31st to ensure a room on campus – so
register with us by then please. Indicate the nights you want to have a campus room
on the camp Registration form. We have to provide numbers to ISU Guest Services by
April 1 to secure the rooms.
Off campus: your choices are several motels.

Meals: You are on you own and you have multiple choices for meals. There is food service
in the Rendezvous Center as well as on lower campus in the Student Union. Directly across
from the campus are several eating choices – Elmer's, Goodies, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Taco
Bell. There is an Albertson's within walking distance of campus as well as a small oriental fast
food restaurant.
Getting to Pocatello: Pocatello is about 2:30 hours north of Salt Lake City on I-15. Salt
Lake is a hub for Delta and is also serviced by Southwest Airlines. Car rentals are available
and there is a shuttle service available - http://www.saltlakeexpress.com/ Round trip is about
$70.00. If you take the shuttle please let us know so we can pick you up and get you to
campus. If you choose, you can fly directly into Pocatello. We can pick you up at the
Pocatello airport.
Black Belt Testing: Only black belt testing will be conducted at camp. Instructors - please
let us know no later than thirty (30) days ahead of time who is testing and for which Dan. This
lead time is necessary to get belts ordered and certificates generated. All testing fees must
be paid prior to the test. Testees membership in ChungDoKwan USA must be current.
End of Camp Dinner: On Saturday, following the testing, there will be a no-host dinner at
the Bamboo Garden on Yellowstone Avenue. (approximately $10.00 per person). This is not
included in the camp fee.
Being a Tourist Before or After Camp –
There are significant recreational/tourist opportunities around the area. Here is a list of some
of the opportunities:
Lava Hot Springs – We will have nightly car pools to the hot springs.

Comments on the Camp.
This is a high altitude, 4500ft elevation, training camp. The seminars will be physically
demanding. You will receive significant one on one instruction from Master level
practitioners. All participants should be able to engage in rigorous physical training. If you
have any physical problems, we recommended you obtain a thorough physical from your
physician and their approval to attend camp.
The minimum age for camp is 16 years – Any minors attending must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian.
This camp is organized and conducted for the purpose of developing ChungDoKwan skills
and enhancing personal physical, mental and spiritual growth. No alcohol or drugs are
allowed on the campus of Idaho State University.
Pets – ISU will not allow pets in the dorms or on campus.
