TYPICAL FA/FN JOB ASSIGNMENT: Engineering maintenance of the unit’s boats, Boat Crewmember, Boat Engineer and Aids to Navigation Technician. INPORT WATCH TYPE AND DUTY ROTATION FOR SA/SN: Typically five days a month (including one weekend). This involves having the unit’s boats ready to get underway to maintain Aids to Navigation within our Area of Responsibility. During your duty days you will check the unit’s boats and message traffic, and remain in immediate recall status with the duty cell phone. INPORT WATCH TYPE AND DUTY ROTATION FOR FA/FN: Same as SA/SN. SPECIAL PROCEDURES FOR REPORTING AFTER HOURS: Check in to the unit during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, from 0800-1600. If you cannot check in during these times, notify the Executive Petty Officer (XPO) of your situation at (956) 243-0558. Once the XPO has been notified, you will be directed to the USCG Station South Padre Island Officer of the Day. IF UNIT IS UNDERWAY, WHERE TO REPORT: Report to USCG Station South Padre Island’s Officer of the Day if you arrive and the unit is underway. He or she will direct you to us the same day. This includes the Arroyo Colorado, Brazos Santiago Pass (entrance to Brownsville Ship Channel), and Port Mansfield Channel. UNIFORM TO REPORT IN: Members reporting in to ANT South Padre Island SHALL report in a clean and pressed Tropical Blue Long uniform.
