WHERE DO MOST DEPENDENTS GO TO SCHOOL: local public schools ANY OTHER INFORMATION : SINGLE INCOMING CG PERSONNEL E-4 AND BELOW MUST REPORT TO COAST GUARD AIR STATION CAPE COD OR CAPE COD CANAL BARRACKS The Air Station Cape Cod (ASCC) Barracks, Tait-Stiles Hall, is located on the Massachusetts Military Reservation. Those members assigned to CG STA Cape Cod Canal that are allowed to remain in the station’s barracks will be included on the wait list. Only one Waiting List is maintained. This list is for personnel who request a waiver to reside on the economy, or request to live in Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) located on Air Station Cape Cod. First, report to the ASCC Barracks and then to the Housing Office (Building 5215) located on Massachusetts Military Reservation, as soon as possible after checking into your new duty station. Fill out a CG Housing Application (CG 5267) and provide a copy of your orders to the UPH Manager. UPH Manager will put your name on the bottom of the Waiting List. You will move up the list as the Air Station’s Master at Arms (MAA) releases members from the barracks. The wait list is posted at the Housing Office and the ASCC barracks. Once your name reaches the top of the Waiting List, you will be contacted by the MAA. You are required to clean your room, stand inspection conducted by the barracks personnel, and return your key. You must report to the Housing Office with your completed barracks check out sheet in order to obtain a release (Form DD 1747) if you intend/are eligible to reside on the economy. You must provide this form to your PERSRU. The Housing Office will e-mail PERSRU to start your BAH or process you into UPH On Base Housing. If you are residing in UPH Housing, you may be moved into an occupied unit or at some point you may get a roommate if you are the only member residing in the unit. The UPH Manager will try to contact your roommate before your arrival. If residing at the CG STA Cape Cod Canal, you must check out with the XPO of the unit. When the UPH Manager receives word from the XPO that your barracks room has been cleaned & your key returned, you must report to the Housing Office to obtain a release
(Form DD 1747). You must provide this form to your PERSRU. The Housing Office will email your PERSRU to start your BAH or check you into (UPH) On Base Housing.

NOTE: Your name will not be added to the Waiting List until you check into the Housing Office with the completed paperwork, so it is advisable that you bring all required documentation to the Housing Office as soon as possible. The MAA is responsible for managing the wait list. The barracks must maintain 95% occupancy. The personnel are released from the barracks depending on the influx of personnel. Be advised that everyone E-4 and below are required to follow the guidelines listed above. Please note that Cape Cod MA is a very expensive place to reside. If you are looking for a place on your own, make sure that it is a yearly rental. Please keep in mind that some rents are seasonal, peak season is from April to Sept., and unless you have a lease for the yearly rental, the homeowner may charge more during the months of April-Sept. If you choose to remain on base UPH housing you are required to live in the UPH housing for a minimum of 1 year from the date you have checked into UPH Housing unless you status changes (marital, PCS etc) A release may be granted upon completion of 1 year if requested and eligible.
