Conquer new destinations with international travel insurance

One of my travel medical insurance clients went to Croatia for his annual adventure
holiday. Located in central and southeastern Europe, this country borders Slovenia
and Hungary in the north, Serbia and Montenegro in the east, and Bosnia and
Herzegovina in the southeast. Due to Roman, Venetian, Italian and Hungarian rule,
Croatia has become culturally rich and unique. While holidays and festivals evoke
Slavic spirit, Italian influences pervade Croatians’ style and cuisine.

Start exploring Croatia starting with a visit to Dubrovnik. Referred to by Lord Byron
as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, this city is a treasure trove of baroque buildings,
churches, and museums. Another place you must visit is Montenegro. Only an hour
away from Dubrovnik, this ancient town welcomes visitors with its natural seaside
beauty and casual Mediterranean lifestyle. Sea lovers will also enjoy Hvar which
hosts the best beach parties in Croatia. You can also take a cruise along Croatia’s
coastline and visit UNESCO heritage sites in Split, Trogir, and Sibenik.

If you want to experience nature in its pristine state, you can go to Plitvice Lakes
National Park or take a boat explore the canyons and the Krka monastery in Krka
National Park.

Off the beaten track is Zagreb. Explore the restaurants, boutiques, pubs, beer halls,
galleries, and clubs in the city center. If you are a fan of the outdoors, Zagreb offers
biking, hiking, swimming, boating, or skiing. Whether its summer, spring, or winter,
there surely is something to do in this vibrant yet charming city. http://www.short-
