U.S. Department of Labor The U.S. Department of Labor, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants are partnering to offer a local seminar to educate accountants and their small business clients about retirement savings options to help them start and operate a retirement plan. Small businesses are the fastest growing sector of the economy. As advisors to these small businesses, CPAs have an understanding of their needs, including those related to employee benefit plans. The Department of Labor’s interest in retirement savings education stems from its desire to improve American’s retirement security. Starting a retirement savings plan for a small business can be easier than most business people think. What’s more, there are a number of retirement programs that provide tax advantages to both employers and employees. This seminar will provide practical information, helpful tips and an opportunity to get your questions answered.
