Westport Country Playhouse will present its Ladies Night Out, an evening of
food, wine, a custom perfume experience and a performance of Samuel
Beckett's "Happy Days," on Wednesday, July 14. Hosted by Anne Keefe,
playhouse artistic advisor, a reception will begin at 6 p.m. with a perfume
workshop at 6:30 and a performance at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person for a
light dinner, wine, perfume workshop and show.

Sue Phillips, president and founder of Scenterprises Ltd., will take guests on a
"fragrance journey," much like a wine tasting, to experience 18 different,
exquisite perfume blends created by a world famous perfumer. The blends are
designed to be worn in combination with each other or alone. At the completion
of the workshop each guest will have the opportunity to purchase and name her
signature scent, and receive a certificate of registration that will be kept on file at
Scenterprises for ease of reordering.

Food will be provided by Café Madeline of Fairfield, owned by Madeline
Migliorini. Wine is by Horseneck Wines of Greenwich. With 32 years in the wine
business, Theresa Rogers Matthews will share insights on the different varietals
and how they can be used in a method of blending.

"Happy Days" stars Dana Ivey, Tony Award nominee for her roles in "Butley,"
"The Rivals," "Heartbreak House," "Sunday in the Park with George" and "The
Last Night of Ballyhoo"; and Jack Wetherall, who played the title role in
Broadway's "The Elephant Man" and Vic on Showtime's "Queer as Folk."
Directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director, "Happy Days" is written by
Samuel Beckett, the Nobel Prize-winning author of "Waiting for Godot." "Happy
Days," the story of a woman's cheerful optimism in the face of a trifling universe,
is an exhilarating exploration of what it means to be alive.
