                           Please make sure ashes are cool and securely contained
                           within a bag before disposal


                           Wood ash contains valuable minerals and can be used in the
                           garden as an excellent soil improver. Can be placed in a
                           home compost bin in small quantities.




           
                           The MOSES Basket Group collects clothes and equipment in
                           good condition. Contact 01277 372265. Baby clothes can be
                           placed into textile banks

                           If in good condition it can be reused by placing an
                           advertisement in the local paper or contacting a local salvage
                           merchant. The Council may be able to collect from your
                           property at a charge, please contact us on 01799 510510
        Please place into the household battery container located on
        site.

        Some companies will take these back for recycling:

        Due to their silver content, most jewellers will accept these

      Clean items, except duvets and pillows, can be placed into
        textile banks

        Local cycle shops will be able to repair and service bikes,
        and even purchase them to sell on. Bicycles and bike parts
        can be taken to Re-Cycle the Bicycle Charity, see www.re-

       Swap unwanted books with books you haven't read for free,
        see www.bookhopper.com for more information

        Give old brushes a new lease of life by trimming softened
        bristles with a pair of scissors. Reuse for DIY jobs and
        cleaning

        Wrap fragile items in bubble wrap before sending through the
        post or moving house. It can also be used to protect plants
        from the frost

        games, which are then resold. For your nearest store visit

        Use newspaper to wrap up food waste before placing it into
        your brown bin. Scrunched up newspaper can help the
        composting process in your home compost bin.
