               JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER ORCHESTRA
               WITH WYNTON MARSALIS - JANUARY 2009 DATES
               Who/What:
               The world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will tour the
               southern U.S. from January 15-31, 2009. The virtuosic 15-piece band will perform a unique
               repertoire: classic Blue Note Records tunes by Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson, Jackie
               McLean, Lee Morgan, Joe Henderson and others and modern compositions and
               arrangements by jazz contemporaries which include members of the band. The band may
               also perform music by Thelonious Monk and modern jazz renditions of traditional
               favorites.

               The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, composed of 15 of the finest
               jazz soloists and ensemble players, is the resident orchestra of Jazz at Lincoln Center in
               New York City. Under Music Director Wynton Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center
               Orchestra performs classic selections from the jazz big band canon as well as arrangements
               by jazz contemporaries. For nearly 20 years, the orchestra has performed collaborations
               with leading symphony orchestras and has been featured in education and performance
               residencies throughout the world.
