Nutrition Society’s Interim Professional Body for Nutrition Information Sheet 2 SOURCES OF LOW-COST PRINT MATERIALS FOR NUTRITIONISTS IN LOWINCOME COUNTRIES
The Nutrition Society’s Interim Professional Body for Nutrition, 28 Portland Place, London W1B 1DE, UK Fax: 020 7631 4688 Website: Go to: www.nutritionsociety.org → Nutrition Profession → Developing Practice or http://www.nutritionsociety.org/index.php?q=node/42 This Sheet lists organisations that produce and/or distribute English-language print materials (including slides) useful to trainers in tropical low-income countries. These are divided into ‘international organisations’ that distribute worldwide and ‘regional and national organisations’ that distribute mainly within a specific area. Some organisations have materials in French, Spanish and other languages (check their websites). Some have their materials on CD-ROMs (see Information Sheet 3). Complete lists, and, sometimes, whole documents are often on an organisation’s website. You can obtain details of available materials (and where relevant prices and methods of payment) from the relevant organisation (most have these details on their websites) NOT the Nutrition Society. Single copies or limited numbers of priced items are sometimes sent free – it is worth asking! For details of the newsletters mentioned see Information Sheet 1 on this website. Several are available online. Please send corrections and additions for this Sheet to professional@nutsoc.org.uk or to annpatriciaburgess@yahoo.co.uk Please note the Society accepts no responsibility for information on this Sheet that is incorrect or out of date. Inclusion of an item does not mean the Nutrition Society recommends it although we have tried to list useful ones.
