Wheelchair Sports
What are wheelchair sports? They are sports allow disabled athletes a chance to participate in sports for competitive or leisurely purposes, but do so in a wheelchair due to limited or no use of their legs. Why are these sports so important? These sports are important because it gives these athletes a chance to engage in physical activity without the use of their legs. Sadly, these sports are even more important recently because of the soldiers returning home from war with missing limbs.
