Shooting a basketball
The proper mechanics
Proper shooting should be with one hand releasing the ball
Never allow the basketball to sit on the palm of your hand. This means the ball sits on your fingertips.
Your elbow should be in line with your knee and foot. Your knees should be slightly bent, and in one fluent motion you will push the ball upward towards the rim. As the ball leaves your hand you will flip your wrist propelling the ball into a spin.
Remember practice makes perfect!!!
